We were excited to try a new restaurant in Maysville. Always nice to see a new place open up.
We were seated within 6-7 minutes as the waitress needed to clean the table. Upon our arrival, it had been wipe, but was still very wet. Fortunately, there were paper towels on the table so it was no issue to wipe it clean myself.
When the waitress arrived, we ordered soft drinks and our meals (both pulled pork dinners).
Within 5 minutes or so, the food was delivered, however we had yet to receive our drinks. I asked the waitress if she could bring our drinks (like may of you, usually one receives the drinks well before the meal is served).
As she delivered the drinks, I questioned the baked potato. It was ordered with butter, sour cream and chives, however it was served plain. She went and brought us butter and a packet of sour cream.
The pork was dreadful, the green beans had way too much vinegar. The only positive comment I can make about the experience was that the baked beans were good.
Neither of us found the pulled pork tasty or appealing. As such, we waited for our waitress to stop by so we could ask for a to-go box. She was nowhere to be found. I waited 8 minutes and finally went to the take out desk and asked the cook for a take out box which he provided immediately (at least our dogs will eat good tonight).
I never saw our waitress as we waited for our check. My wife tired of the wait and went to sit in the car. After a very long wait by myself, the waitress stopped by with the check explaining that she was also working the gathering space room where 15 people came in about 10 minutes after we arrived.
This has been one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever encountered. The poor execution of so many basic restaurant fundamentals in perplexing.
We will not be a future customer and while I can only impart our experience, if you are considering trying this restaurant, I would offer...
Read moreThe food was pretty good. The floor around our tables was filthy with food everywhere. As a former waitress I assume it's the waitresses responsibility to keep that clean. This was our first time at this restaurant so we were unfamiliar with the menu. Our waitress rushed us to order several times. My granddaughter ordered the garlic herb shrimp platter and I have the pulled pork platter. We shared the Southwest egg rolls as an appetizer. Our server rushed us through the first part of our meal and then disappeared when we really needed her. She accidentally mixed our drinks up which was not a big deal but I added my Crystal light packet to my granddaughter's sweet tea instead of to my ice water. I walked up to the counter to get another sweet tea for my granddaughter and when I explained what happened to the waitress she rolled her eyes and then shot some kind of mean girl look to all of her co-workers. All of them looked at me in unison. It was really awkward. That brings me to the next thing. If you need a server in that restaurant you can find them all huddled together at the counter chit chatting and hanging out. Do better Peggy. I really hope this restaurant succeeds and can work through these minor...
Read moreBeen coming here for awhile. Finally decided to leave a review. I have seen the servers stressed out with A FULL PACKED RESTAURANT. My server Paige on multiple occasions has been nothing but polite courteous and respectful. Has gone above and beyond at many times. I think with some of these reviews, people need to realize that there has to be patience with servers too. Yeah, we are not the only ones in a restaurant some of the servers handle four or five tables. Sometimes the tables can be a big party. Now, as far as the food, there has not been anything on the menu that I have not enjoyed everything has been great taste wise and presentation wise, owners are...
