The room was clean. Definitely needed some sort of shower mat for the tub. I also think the shampoo, conditioner and body wash should have been on the back wall of the shower instead of underneath the shower head. Also, the bathroom fan did not work and lightning was dim. The breakfast wasn't great. The eggs were a lil burnt but somehow they were hardly warm. The sausage patties were also hardly warm. I thought I read on the website that housekeeping was guaranteed, however, our room did not get clean. The girl working at the front desk was rude. I stood at the desk while she was on the phone and for about 5 minutes she just ignored me. No, "I'll be with u in a moment" or anything. I finally politely and quietly asked if she was able to open another window on her computer and make me a key real quick and unfortunately she couldn't. ( Weird cause I could do that at my current hotel and all 4 other hotels I have worked for. When she finally did make me a key, I thanked her n her response was, "yep." When we came back from being gone all day, we asked for more towels and if someone could empty our trash. She brought us towels ( no face or hand towels) and said she could not take out trash out. We then had to ask for the face n hand towels and she said, " Oh, you need those too? You only asked for towels." ( Well duh. All our towel sets are in a pile on the floor because we thought housekeeping was guaranteed) Not one single employee greeted us with a high, hello, welcome in, good morning or nothing. When we went to check out, nobody came to the front desk. Hotel seemed clean and beds were comfy. The staff needs some customer service training. Checked in 8/23/24 10pm checked out...
Read moreThe hotel was very nice, modern & clean. The room was a good size & had a quiet, comfortable heating unit. The breakfast was Amazing with many items to choose from. The dining area was spacious and inviting. The one thing I was very disappointed in was the sheets & towels had a distinct Clorox smell. It was very disappointing to crawl into what I hoped would be a comfortable bed, to find scratchy, chlorine smelling sheets. I'm so glad that I travel with my own pillow because I wouldn't have been able to sleep otherwise. The towels were the same way. An offensive smell of chlorine is not what I want to dry off with after showering. When the clerk asked me if everything was good with my stay ,I told her how dissatisfied I was with this chlorine issue. She said, oh we just started using Tide detergent and Clorox for our laundry, but that nobody else had mentioned a problem with it. I suggested putting the laundry through a 2nd rinse or make sure they didn't overdue the Clorox in each load. By the end of the day after we left the hotel, I had a scratchy throat & stuffy nose which I 100% contribute to sleeping with that chemical smell in the bed & having to dry off with the same chemical rinsed towels. I've never dealt with this offensive odor in any hotel before, so I hope they took my complaint seriously. There were several hotels in the same area of this small town, but I was looking forward to staying at this fairly new Hampton Inn, because of good experiences with other Hampton hotels. I don't think I would trust choosing this hotel again in the near future because of how disappointing it was to deal with this laundry...
Read moreThe room was a good size, that’s why I wanted it for two of us and a small dog. Upon entering the room, it wasn’t hard to notice that the floors had not been vacuumed or cleaned. My daughter convinced me to wait, they would clean it the next day. The next day they did not clean, I went to the front desk only to find out they only cleaned every other day. That meant our four day stay, over $600, we would only get our room cleaned once. So on cleaning day, we had everything picked up and we left with our dog, and I left a note for the housekeeper to please sweep the floor and clean behind the doors, dead bugs. When we came back later that afternoon, the beds had been made, not clean sheets, the trash had been emptied, and we had fresh towels. That was it, she did not vacuum, clean the bathroom, or wipe the tables down. We had about one use of toilet paper left on the roll and they didn’t leave us anymore. We called the front desk several times and no one answered. My daughter went down there once the office door was shut and no one was around. I went down about a half hour later And she was there I explained that our room was not cleaned, and we needed toilet paper. There was no apology or will get it taken care of tomorrow or anything, she just handed me the toilet paper and that was it. Hampton used to be our go to hotel, not anymore. I should have looked at the reviews before I book this, because I’m not the only one that had similar problems here. The only plus side was the breakfast was...
