I have more than one problem here. The main on is the lack of customer service. My husband has interaction with one staff member at checkin and he said she was very rude. Then this morning I had the pleasure of speaking with Carly. She likes to stare at you with a hateful look on her face while you ask nicely about the error regarding the housekeepers coming in my room after I went to Carly, this morning and asked her to make sure they did NOT come in my room since I have a protective chihuahua and did not want him to bite anyone. She just stared at me like she didnt know what to say. I had to ask for her name since she had no name tag. Then when I asked when the manager came in next, she said Tuesday. Today is Saturday and Im only in town for one more night as my family came to visit my husband who is qorking nearby. I asked her to take my name and number and have Jill, the manager call me regarding the housekeeping issue and Carly's rude behavior at the front desk (twice today). I did let her know that if I dont hear from Jill, I will continue to call up the Corporate ladder to make sure my issues are addressed. I have never allowed housekeeping to enter any of my hotel rooms for security reasons. I dont have time to worry about the safety of my jewelry, electronics ans so forth at every hotel we stay at, being a travel family. This really didnt set well with me after I verbally told her NOT to allow anyone in the room for safety of the animal and personnel entering. Thanks for taking my peace of mind on the first day! Breakfast is free if you are a paying hotel guest but make sure you ask to be shown the free breakfast area. They have a huge sign up front saying $7/adults and $4/kids for breakfast buffet. We couldnt find the breakfast room (have stayed at many hotels and never has this been an issue) and of course, Carly did not let us know where it was so we procceeded to go pay $20 to have breakfast at the attached restaurant. It was good but Im upset we were blind sided by "free breakfast" and then basically being tricked into paying for it since you cant find the hotel breakfast room. I went back to look and there is NO sign to let you know where it is either! You walk in and see bathrooms. The restaurant with big breakfast signs and the front desk. Very confusing and manipulative if you ask me! And last but not least, it shows online peices of $37/night, $50/night, and $60/night (different booking sites) and when you call they say that their rate is $94/night so we booked with priceline...
Read moreMy husband and I had to get a room quick because of being evacuated because of grass fires. My duaghter who lives in Ky, looked up on the internet and found this place which took pets, SHe then booked the room and let them know that there was pets. When my husband and another daughter checked in the front desk clerk gave them a price and said this included the incidentals (which later wwe learned pet fees) The took th credit card number over the phone and told her the same thing. The night before check out we were told that the pet fee was not paid nd they were not informed that we had pets. I went up to pay the fee. I then called my daughter and asked her about it. She said yes they charged her card the incidental fee and the room went from 58 to 80 a night. I went to check out the next morning and the front desk said that she was only charged the room fee and that was all. My daghter had called to talk to the manger and the manager was not in yet but would call when she came in. The manager did not call back my daughter had to call , the front desk person was rude and told her she was not charged for the pet fee, manger never came on the phone. The front desk clerk began to ask me for the fee when I told her I had paid for it in cash and signed a paper in which she checked another place on the computer she said yes its right here.. Everything was ok. My daughter called back and she told the front desk that they had chargered her for the pet fee she began to argue with my daughter. My daughter said I have the receipt right in front of me. it shows that you charged me. My daughter hung up with her and called the website where she book the room from and they confirmed that she had paid for the fee. She had told them what happened and they refunded her. Warning please check your bill before u pay they be double dipping in pet fees and other charges. They may say they have a pool and a hot tub it a joke. The pool room needs repairs badly and the hot tub is not hot and its dirty. WONT STAY HERE AGAIN PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL OR DON'T USE A WEBSITE TO BOOK YOUR ROOM THEY WILL CHEAT YOU BY OVER CHARGING YOU. ONE PRICE ON LINE ANOTHER WHEN YOU GET THERE AND TELL YOU...
Read moreMy sister and I got back to this hotel late at night, around 11:00pm after a long day of work, to find a live spider and other bug by the sink and in the bathroom (fine we can kill bugs, it happens). I pull back the sheets on one of the beds and see a tiny black bug crawl across the sheets and kill it. I go to the next bed and see several black hairs all over the comforter (how did house keeping not see these when the beds were made?!) and then I pulled the pillows back and a spider came running out of those. So I go back to the first bed to re-examine and ANOTHER tiny black bug was crawling on the bed. The other hotels in the area were booked, so we talked to reception and the girl said she would move us to another room. So we go to the front desk and the guy 'manager' had the nice girl at reception walk us to our new room since "she's a country girl and isn't afraid of spiders". This comment was unbelievable, 1. We are not afraid of bugs, 2. It is NOT okay to have several bugs IN THE BEDS, 2 separate beds mind you. 3. What a demeaning remark, he didn't even apologize about the situation, he just assumed since we were girls that we were afraid of spiders? So rude of this 'manager' to treat customers like this. So we get to our new room, I check the beds, they look fine, and we look in the bathrooms and there is a dead bug and the sink was absolutely filthy- it looked like they did maintenance work on the light above and just decided not to clean up the mess in the sink (+ there were dead bugs in the sink too). We decided to take the room since it was midnight and no where else to go! The next day we asked if we could get our room comped since we had bug issues and they said the best they could do was take $8 off the price of the room since we stayed in it. Not very good customer service in my opinion. We have previously stayed here- before the new Hampton Hotel was built, however, we will never stay here again since they weren't very apologetic, didn't comp our room (or give us a reasonable discount), and insulted us because they THOUGHT we weren't from...
