Save your money if you're staying at this hotel customer service was horrible the amenities was broken down from the pool to the hot tub to the ice machines and the whole hotel the next day we had to walk from the third floor down with our ice that we had to go out and buy cuz the ice machines were not working the whole hotel we had to walk down with our suitcases we had to walk down with everything because the elevator did not work the staff did not come and make an announcement and say hey the elevator is not working can we help you bring your stuff down they did not notify us another person who was sending a hotel as we spending there waiting for the elevator was like oh the elevator is broken when I asked the young lady at the counter like what's going on when did the elevator break what I'm confused she said oh it's been broken for like 20 to 30 minutes they're working on it though with no concern any problems that we had it was almost as if it happens all the time I booked the jacuzzi room they didn't give me the jacuzzi room I booked three other rooms with a king bed and a pull out couch they didn't give me that when I tried to go down there and say Hey you give me the wrong room there was no rooms available they were sold out the young lady told me oh yeah they switched your rooms how you going to switch my rooms what I paid for please explain my sister told it was broken in her room so she went down there was like hey my toilet is broken they gave her another room however the room was not wheelchair accessible so she literally had to take a shower in the first room she had and she slept in the second room she had I have never heard or done anything like this this hotel is horrible save your money and go get a better experience somewhere else because the experience you get here is going to make you mad it's going to ruin your vacation it's horrible and we stayed at this property because we brought our niece down to UC Merced and it was 12 minutes away so it's like yeah cool however I would have rather Drive 2 hours to another hotel instead this hotel again I would rather drive the drive we took to bring my niece to UC Merced and go back home if it wasn't so many of us I would have left save your money save your experience save the headaches save your time do not stay...
Read moreI was staying with my family on Saturday September 26th (11:30 pm) and Sunday September 27th, it was a bad and terrible experience, since we arrived the room they assigned us could not be opened, they gave us another one that was not to my liking, and the female receptionist told us that was all they could do and if not practically at midnight to go out with my family, I have 2 girls of 4 and 10 years respectively, one of them is disabled, we only had to accept and sleep with discomfort, my reservation was for 2 adults and 2 children and there was to be 2 queen beds in the room, they did not honor my reservation and did what they wanted. The next day at breakfast, Mrs. Laura from the kitchen gave me the breakfast that I previously wrote down the night before, sent what they wanted and told me that she would not change anything, I managed to say that I had not understood the menu and if they could so less give me the other thing that he had written down and said no, my 4-year-old daughter was with me and witnessed when that lady "verbally assaulted me, humiliated me and screamed" my girl was trembling and scared, Mrs. Laura insisted and said that she would not no change, that I speak to the manager and never let me even tell him my entire request or a negotiation of it, he does not care about the guest at all. Read moreMy coworker and I travel a lot for work so we have a lot of experience with a variety of hotels and are seasoned travelers. This hotel was neither the best or the worst. Hampton Inn hotels are usually fairly nice for the cost. This place was a disappointment. The hotel itself was not that bad, but there were issues with the furnishings and other basic items.
I reserved a room with a whirlpool tub as a nice treat because they were fairly affordable. As I was filling the tub the cold water sounded like a hammer. It was so loud that my coworker in the room beside me almost called the front desk as he thought there was some kind of fight or commotion in the hallway or outside the hotel.
Once I got the tub filled, the jets did not work at all. I basically just had a big bath tub to relax in.
I had constant issues with the key card to get into my room. I'd have to swipe it up to 10x to enter my room as the door flashed green but the knob did nothing. I told staff who gave me a new key but that didn't solve the issue.
The desk was very, very worn around the edges and you could see that it had been repainted numerous times.
I know with reserving a room that had a whirlpool tub that many people(more than I want to think about) had used this room for other purposes besides sleeping but my bed was very worn out. Either 100 backs were blown out on this bed or someone used it as a WWE wrestling mat.
The fridge temperature was not able to be adjusted so it froze all of my beverages turning them into blocks of ice.
The internet speed was slower than the average two or three star hotel.
This hotel really needs an update/remodel.
SAFETY This is not a reflection of the hotel but as other reviewers mentioned this is not the safest area at all for your valuables and/or vehicle. We woke up to find our back passenger window broken. Nearby, there is a fence with holes cut through it so the local homeless/junkies have an easy opportunity to break into your vehicle and steal anything that interests them.
