Wonderful staff, all around. Rooms were spotless, everyone on the main floor made sure we understood the local laws about drinks from the bar not leaving the building, and only externally provided drinks allowed at the outdoor seating. We really appreciated a recommendation as well as tasting coupons for the nearby Lincoln Peak Winery. The bistro restaurant on site has a small menu, but everything is tweaked just enough to seem special.

This hotel is located in the lovely town of Middlebury. We were received by a friend staff member and given an upgrade to a suite with a living room, dining table, fireplace and separate shower and jetted tub. The room was clean and odorless. The pool area is closed as of the time of this writing and was previously disclosed on the hotel website. The Bistro was grossly overpriced. We paid $28 for 2 Naked juices and 2 Pellegrinos.

Friendly staff. Located close to shopping venues and schools,.. Second stay, not as great, Marriott banner can be hit or miss- this is a miss.. The Starbucks Café in all Marriott are garbage. Hvac is out dated, no air flow, rooms are thrown together, carpets are old,No usb hook up ,even TV is thrift shop style. First world problems,-Needs work. Surprised there was no cigarette and blunt burns on the vanitys!!

Because of my timing, this was a really quick trip - only stayed in the hotel for about 12 hours. This ended up costing nearly $350.00 for my daughter and I. Despite the pics, they claim there is no pool. However, you can clearly see the blacked out windows of the pool area, and the sign for the pool simply has a piece of electrical tape poorly placed over it. The room was clean, the shower nice (except gluing the soap and shampoo dispensers to the wall seemed strange). However, the AC was absolutely not operational. I tried to call the front desk and found the phones weren't working, went to front desk and the only person working was having a lengthy discussion with someone about where they could book a room cheaper than this one :/. So, frustrated, went to bed (by this time around 10:30PM as we had to get up early). Fortunately the 3 inches the window could be opened were enough to get a little air in the room, but there was significant road noise bc of this. We don't travel often so totally a really lousy night. We had previously stayed at Middlebury Inn, just down the road and it was a much nicer stay, and slightly less expensive, but was fully booked this time. At checkout the clerk didn't even ask how the stay was - I'm sure he didn't want to hear it!. I absolutely will not stay there again. I'd sleep in my car first. My advice would be to check out the room, if possible, before completing the...

I called the Marriott Middlebury on the morning of Jan 3 (1:30 AM) to see if they would allow an early check in do to an emergency and was told yes. I booked my reservation on trip.com had my voucher and went to check in. Rebecca had no clue how to check me in and asked me for the wholesaler number. In addition although she advised i could have the early check in it wasnt honored. I also prepaid the one night and she lied and advised she needed my card for incidentals which I gave her she tried to charge me 2 times for 160 and finally charged one time for 120. Remeber i prepaid and when we checked out (Jan 3 10:30 AM) Carly charged me 114.67 after i already prepaid. It gets worst i submitted a complaint with Marriott directly and spoke to the GM Malcom Rusty Harding who was just as rude as his staff. They did not apologize even when the multiple charges disrupted my account. Up to now no one has done the right thing and I will never stay at this property or recommend to anyone. Marriott Customer service did nothing to fix the situation after multiple calls and completing a case with them directly. As of today no one has corrected the charges on my account. At this point Marriott has lost a loyal customer of over 20 years. In this time of uncertainty with the travel industry customer service and retention should be the up most priority. It seems Marriott just doest care anymore...

This is a solid hotel stay. Room was clean and quiet so that's a big deal, although desk chair was beyond its useful life (bonded leather seat was peeling badly) Not a ton of hotel amenities. Pool was closed. Workout room fits 4 people and is too small to share safely during Covid. They use an under the window unit for heat and A/C and those are always a bit noisy. There may have been other things to do but they were not pointed out when we checked in and our room had no hotel info/map etc. (We noticed a small outdoor fire pit during checkout, but not sure that was in service). Restaurant wasn't open the night we arrived. Breakfast was available for purchase at a very reasonable price-- was kind of an expanded Starbucks menu of breakfast sandwiches, continental breakfast, eggs. Overall, I'd stay here again for a business trip but seemed a bit expensive for hotel class and amenities and could maybe use a bit of TLC.
Note: I just learned that until a couple weeks ago, this hotel was housing a number of homeless individuals during Covid. I personally applaud this program and mention it only as it might explain my experience-- perhaps the hotel is in a bit of transition between that program and the fall when students return to Middlebury (with parents in tow). Just a guess on my part-- might...
