For $90 - our grocery budget for a week for 3 - we got an hour of traipsing through a practically empty orchard. Rotten apples, blueberry buds, a few raspberries, some finger size eggplants and tomatoes (if you want those, they do have them). And to clarify, I’m aware of the “we spray stuff that makes them look weird” on the apples. When I say rotting, I mean rotting.

Heard the cashier tell us, and everyone else, about the hayride. Saw not one single person in 2 hours on that “free” hayride.

$90 = from 1.5 hr in orchard: handful of raspberries & tiny baby tomatoes, 4 small tomatoes, 2 pears, 3 or 4 apples from orchard. From store: 3 small pumpkins, 2 handheld pumpkins, box of blue blueberries, 4 more apples (apples totaled under 4lbs), smallest cider, 2/$5 bags of muffin mix (for which we were charged $12), 1 pepper, and 2 pears ($8?!!). Plus the $2.5pp fee. Couple in front of us paid $40 for a not-filled container of apples.

A week ago they told our friends the reason for the empty selections was bc a bus had just gone through and picked it. Today the story was the philly mag article came out and “everyone from Philly” came and bought them out.

Judging by the faces of the other patrons today, we weren’t the only extremely disappointed family. We were also overcharged for the fruit we bought at the store - unless 2 pears really do cost $8, which at this point wouldn’t surprise me - but were so disgusted we just left. We wanted to support the little guy, and have for 3 years, but we will never be back and will no longer recommend this place. Not a great alternative to Linvilla. Brave the crowds, it’s a better experience at...

My family and I go apple picking every year at different farms and this year we decided to give Indian Orchards a shot. It seemed quaint and nice at first, but the entire experience ended up being extremely disappointing. The sign-in/checkout process was slow and disorganized with only two people manning the registers, which led to a long initial wait (maybe it’d be better to have a separate line for each).

We walked over to the trees after paying our fee (2.50 per person) and searched for apples to pick. We searched, and searched, but every tree was either completely picked over or loaded with fungus-riddled fruit (maybe it was still edible, maybe it wasn’t, but I wasn’t going to pay for the privilege of finding out). We left, dejected and apple-less, and if we didn’t have to stand in that long line again, we would’ve asked for our money back (hopefully the donation will help them prepare better in the future). We then headed over to Linvilla (which we’re not huge fans of) and ended up salvaging the day.

I don’t necessarily think this place is inherently bad or that the people who own it are bad, but it isn’t run well, and they don’t seem to have the staff, procedures, or crop to handle the rush they have gotten. Which would be understandable if they had warned people up front that there might not be a ton of fruit to pick. There are plenty of other farms out there, so we likely won’t be back to find out if they...

We live about five minutes away but never came here until the other day, it is a cute place! There are a lot of apple trees (and lots of apples all over so be careful not to roll an ankle, it wouldn’t be easy for an older person or person with mobility issues to walk around this place in general). It definitely feels like a small mom and pop place, and their apple cider was delicious!

Two things that could be better- the apple trees are not marked well at all- very few had signs identifying what there were- apparently they have like 30 varieties but we could only find a sign for maybe 5 different kinds and didn’t know what to pick, so it became pretty frustrating and aggravating after a bit and we just gave up. Also, there are no prices anywhere! No signs telling you how much the pick your own is (you can also pick other things like vegetables though it was limited) no prices on any of the pumpkins or anything in the farm store, not even prices on the apple cider. I really did not like that at all. And then I paid $3 for a homemade brownie that the girl said was $2 and it tasted like a box mix brownie.

So those two things were really annoying and this isn’t a place to travel far to, but if you are in the area it’s a nice little place to pick some apples. Oh and there is a fee of $3.50 per person during the week, it’s much more expensive on the weekend, $11 I think and not worth it- this is in addition to...

A quaint, family run farm. My girlfriend and I came to Indian Orchards to pick apples, pears, and peaches. It's currently late August, this is what was available, but there were signs for various other vegetables and fruits for picking, but it's late in the season now. You pull into the farm driveway at the end of the road and speak with the attendant in the side building where you can purchase various natural and organic Farmers market type items. The girl at the counter was very helpful and had a wealth of knowledge about the farm and it's produce. She showed us where to pick and have us a basket and that was that. We returned when we were done. The place was clean and not overcrowded. There was a really nice large newly finished patio out back as well to picnic and hang out. Good experience, great people.

I am IN AWE of this place! The farm was recommended to us by a friend due to its authenticity and use of ZERO pesticides. WOW!! It completely blew our minds. I grew up in the mid-west and this is the first time I have felt like an orchard has not commercialized! It was so raw - rolling hills, apple cider pressing hut, bee farm, family dog playing fetch with everyone, hand made EVERYTHING (the doughnuts are insane), etc. The staff were so nice and genuine to their customers. The hay ride showed us INCREDIBLE views of color changing trees. It was NOT overcrowded and the prices were great! I got lots of pumpkins :). This farm is our favorite and will not be our recommendation to others (and we have tried other farms in the area)!!
