The only issue we had was when we checked in early Nov, the man working ( I did not get his name) was short and very rude, had a very bad attitude and not very welcoming at all and did not go over any of the info, wifi, breakfast, nothing! I had to ask and he was very annoyed, like I was a bother.
We did have an issue with one amenity and that was the free wifi. We were able to use in the first night but not the others for some reason. When we first called the front desk (because there was an issue with the room phone, as well, oddly but then it worked a little bit later ???) a man answered and he was very defensive, almost accusing us of lying!! I cannot confirm if this was the same man that checked us in.
I called from my cell phone because of the room phone not working. He said that there was nothing wrong with the room phones and that the internet was working fine. I took serious offense to this and almost went to the front desk to confront whoever this rude man was but Lorie came and checked and confirmed we were right.
She apologized about everything not working properly and saw we could not connect to the wifi. We never did get reconnected with wifi. As for the phone she got it working and said that sometimes the lines get loose but the point is she took the time and consideration to check on us. Whoever that man was, if he is still there next time WE WILL NOT STAY AT BEST WESTERN AGAIN. We will stay at the Holiday Inn across the street because HE DOES NOT DESERVE ANOTHER CENT FROM US and needs to take some serious lessons on what Hospitality even means.

Read moreAfter leaving a literal roach motel 2 hours away from this Best Western, after already driving 14 hours, my brother and I were eager to get out of his crammed Honda Civic and sleep; we are each over 6ft, large builds, and had with his medium-sized dog in the backseat. We arrived as the sun was coming up and were originally told by the night clerk (I believe Ms. Sherry or Cheryl) that they had been completely booked the night before. After sharing our sob story and asking for directions to another hotel, the night clerk took pity on us and had an amazing proposal. She stated that a guest had JUST checked out of a pet friendly, two-bed room, and that if we didn't mind waiting for her to clean and fix it up, it could be ours.
Due to the time of morning we had to pay for the room and early check-in, but given our earlier experience this offer was mana from heaven. It took the night clerk maybe 35 minutes to get everything cleaned, and by the time we got to the room, she had done such a good job that my brother and I couldn't tell another human had stayed there hours before. The beds were immaculate, the bathroom was clean and freshly stocked up, and the A/C was frigid. Read moreAfter traveling all day with my family on the way home from Orlando we decided to pull over - stopped at 2am to what we thought looked like a nice place- only needed to sleep and go- I told the front desk guy we would be gone by 8-9am- any way we could get a discount on 2 rooms since it was so late and we were literally staying 5-6 hours- he said sure- I can get you 25% off. I didn't say anything but thought to myself that sounded ok- I really did't even know what the rate was I was so tired. we just went straight to bed-one of the 2 rooms smelt like smoke but it was so late we just went to bed-when I got up and went to check out I asked the girl up front what the regular rate was and she said 109.00-we had paid 90.00 plus tax and I told her that we didn't get the discount we were offered- she rudely replied (you got a discount didn't you?)
