Omg the food here is awesome. This is a joint venture with a convenience store and restaurant. You can eat at tables or take on the run. Hot and fresh, tastes great, extremely friendly staff. We got the gumbo, crawfish pies, and my daughter got a sandwich. The sandwich was out of the cooler area. It was freshly made by them. They have mayo and mustard packets right there you can grab so the bread doesn't get soggy. They clearly make them fresh daily. The gumbo was to die for, crawfish pies are cooked to order i believe, but they are smaller ones just so you know. They still taste great. This is clearly a place that locals go to and i see why. They have burgers and all kinds of other stuff too. If you are heading through Louisiana on I 20 exit and give them a try. Especially if you like Louisiana flavor. Some friends brought me here when I first moved to Minden a year and a half ago. They ordered the Freaky J and suggested I do the same. It is THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH IN MINDEN! It is a grilled or fried chicken breast with bacon, lettuce, tomato and a special sauce on a jalapeno cheese bun. Skip the chicken chains and come here for the best chicken sandwich. You won't be disappointed. They also have Cajun food that is popular. You can get the Cajun items fairly quickly but everything else is fresh made to order.

It's located in a very nice convenience store so it's a one stop Valero gas, lunch, & potty stop.

We LOVE the Fluer Deli! It's located in a Valero station, so don't let that confuse you. The phone number also rings the Valero. The people that work here are so so nice and helpful! The gumbo is our favorite. Call ahead for your order and tell them your traveling through, and they can cool the gumbo down so it travels better.
