We really enjoyed our stay at Bee's RV! We recently became full time RV residents this winter, and we didn't realize how difficult it is to find monthly spots in Florida over the winter. After calling numerous RV parks, Bee's was the only one able to fit us in for February and March. They were slightly further out than we hoped from the Theme Parks and our friends closer to Davenport and Kissimmee, but as they were the only option and they were in GORGEOUS Lake County and very close to the Turnpike, it worked out fine. I would definitely stay there again. Also recommend JD Boondocks nearby for restaurant, a gem we discovered because of staying here. Read to the end for more specifics. -I will say, Bee's has some of the snuggest camping spots I've seen, but that's probably why they were able to accommodate us at all. One drawback is that they will not assign you a spot in advance and you cannot request a specific site. The spot we were assigned was not going to work for us as we had no grass on it at all (most sites are not paved, but some are), and we had two dogs. We also had ants show up the first morning, so we weren't sure we were going to be able to stay for the whole two months. However, I got a good tip from the locals to speak to Mike, and Mike definitely came through for us. We were reassigned the next morning to a grassy spot and we really did enjoy our two months there, so I'm grateful to Mike for helping us. Thankfully as far as I know, every site is fully hooked in. -Some big perks! Restaurant on site, we went several times. The best dog walking and nature trail we have had yet (no fenced dog park, but I think this was actually better because there was so much to walk.) The pool was enjoyable. The laundry was great! One time a dryer went out on me, and the office ladies instantly refunded and get me set up in a new dryer and it was fixed a few days later. It's the biggest laundromat I've seen but we haven't been to that many RV resorts. I used the shower house quite a bit and I can say it was hot, but always bring shower shoes (you know how it goes.) Guests enjoyed the shuffleboard, clubhouse activities (we didn't go but many did). Also, they have an RC racecar track?!? Super neat! They are pretty serious about their RC cars and I could tell my honey was kind of dying to get in the game, but theirs are kind of in the several hundred dollar hobby category. But if you have a good RC car, bring it! -One more thing to be careful of. They will not apply your deposit at all until you leave. And you may have to remind them a few times if you get invoiced repeatedly after the fact, but I was able to use my deposit towards the final electrical invoice and anything remaining was refunded back to the credit card. So just be careful with the invoices and don't assume they have applied your deposit, because they will not until you leave, and they won't apply it until you ask them to. -Bottom line? I had a great two months! Super friendly people, very quiet at night and very easy to get rest and sleep, best weather we ever had in Feb and Mar, loved going to Disney and Universal and we went to parks prob 3-4 times a week, (make sure you have a toll sun pass!) and we loved the pretty area up there. We felt extremely safe to walk the dogs late in the evening, all the camping guests and residents are very friendly and I felt safe all the time. If you can get a good spot, especially if you have limited options over winter, Bee's was very comfortable for us. I definitely would go back again, and the rate for $800 was good considering most around there are range over $1000 and...
Read moreThis used to be an ‘OK’ campground until the recent change in mismanagement! There is a simple small pool, no Tennis Court, no Pickleball Court, no dog park and recently no more restaurant. People have always returned because of the ‘repeat customers’ and residents…… until now! ||There is a new Sherrif in town that is on a quick path to ruin this place. “Corporate”, which is all family, has promoted a maintenance guy as a the new manager/ stupidvisor/ hatchet man and has apparently tasked him with making several changes to the park. They are so bold as to make changes in existing “99 year leases”. Legal action has been initiated by lease owners and will only continue. Lease owners have routinely rented out their sites for years until May 1. I was preparing to rent my site, per park rules, but was denied on a moment’s notice on a Monday morning. I guess they made changes during the family Sunday dinner. There are double standards due to employees that reside in the park by “renting” other owners sites. ||Everything now revolves around the ole mighty dollar! They have increased all fees with most being doubled. They started charging for regular concerts until attendance declined. It is rumored that they want to cease participation with the camping membership ‘Coast to Coast’ and even stop Sunday church services! What is next??? We used to have a very nice and convenient restaurant on the property until “Corporate”, the family, refused their rent payment and closed down the restrooms which in turned closed the business due to an anonymous phone call made to Lake County government.||They have only just begun! What will be next? They appear to be taking advantage of senior citizens by ignoring their lease and utilizing scare tactics and gaslighting to line their pockets with more money. Their disregard for any lives but their own is appalling. This once nice resort will never be the same. Money and politics are always the root of all evils.||AVOID...

Very Very small spaces. less than 15' between units. My grass site hasn't been cut in a very long time. My query to the front desk yielded the info, it was MY job to cut that spot. Well, I rent that spot. I'm not cutting it. Water, Sewer all okay. "Instant Connect" internet doesn't connect, on anything we have, I-pad, Tablet, Cell Phone or Television. We are on a three year walk-about with our 5th wheel and only one place has been less friendly. We'll see where this goes. We have 29 more days. Mostly not going to be there, so essentially a parking spot for the 5th wheel. Neighbors' dogs are annoying. People are generally friendly. Nice grounds, well maintained. Initial impression.

Three weeks in. I got an e-mail telling me to cut my grass . . . . well, first, I don't haul a lawn mover or weed-eater with me, We are full timers and NO place in the last 18 months have asked us to cut our grass . . . also note I told 'em that day ONE. Speaking of same, we don't have grass, we have ants, weeds and other such greenery they call a yard, I called the office upon receipt of the e-mail. I made it specifically clear, I'm not cutting it. We leave the park at 0700 daily, we get back at 1900-1930. We care for my wife's mother in Orlando during the day. Bee's looks great on paper, but for all their adverts, WiFi *, and other benefits, I've never seen anyone at the pool, never seen anyone playing shuffleboard, never see any extra-curricular activities, like the supposed every other Saturday evening "Jams", and the "restaurant" hasn't been opened ever. And this, the big thing for me, the Wifi, garbage. It shows up, but no one I talked to can connect to it. So, this place gets a ONE, only because I can't give it a Zero. Look at my other reviews on RV Parks, I pull no punches.
