Let me start by saying I am embarrassed to have Procurement set up a contract with this location less than a year ago. The prior Chef was amazing and the menu was outstanding. The service was pristine. Fast forward to last week. At check in, all went well (late night arrival) and went straight to room. The next morning upon exiting the room, I searched for the DO NOT DISTURB, as I left my jewelry and personal belongings with my personal pillow and didn't want the room accessed during the day. Didn't have one, and stopped at the desk. Couldn't find one and was assured, as a note was taken, to not access my room 611, and he texted the cleaning/maintenance staff immediately. Breakfast - no buffet anymore and an American Breakfast (2. eggs, pre-made bacon and sausage, and toast) 40 minutes. Back from work at 5:15p and noticed door didn't have a DO NOT DISTURB on it, opened door and room was cleaned. Bed made, with my personal pillow moved and placed on the comforter (we all know they don't get washed everytime) and the pillows I placed on the chair were replaced. My jewelry was piled up in a different area, and my white hand towel I bring, due to allergies to certain detergents, from home to wash my face was gone - taken with the hotel towels. This was lying UNDER my pink hair wrap on my bathroom bag that was moved. I immediately went downstairs and the ghost town was found. Someone waiting to check in, already rang bell, and I rang again. I could hear them talking behind the wall, no response. I called, "Hello" you have customers out here, and a call back, we will be right there with a wave. Five minutes later, another guest arrives and rings bell agressively when we said we had been there 5 minutes. Appeared an Employee, who walked to me first (no luggage), "How can I help", check them in first, you won't want this overheard. If you have a complaint I will get the GM. Carmen came around the corner (now been there 10 minutes) and apologized as I told her the story. I will personally bring up the DO NOT DISTURB. Back to room, 20 minutes later, agressive knock on door, and the maid handed me one. NOT the GM. Down to dinner, Sit anywhere, ordered a burger and chicken sandwich with co-worker, after 20 minutes to be waited on with water. Forty minutes later, I looked at bartender across the restaurant and pointed at the table. He went back to kitchen and our waitress came out. I asked where is our food, there are 4 tables in here? Let me check (empty water glasses). In walks GM with a friend and orders beside us - no acknowledgement if I received door hanger. Ten minutes later order came out - don't think it ever got put in. Food was brought out in 2 sets. Burger/Chicken sandwich on cutting boards too small, then back she went to bring out fries. No tray? Started to eat and heard GM order, 2 Fries, a chicken sandwich, and Bolognese Pasta. Food was out in 15 minutes on a "food delivery cart" covered with a table cloth. Presented like a fine dining restaurant? I raised my hand to get waitress attention for water. She filled them up and walked away, food was empty. She came back to check on GM, and I looked at her and asked for the check. She brought it over and waited on it. I overheard the batender tell patrons CASH or ROOM CHARGE ONLY as our system is down. Nothing said and I pulled out my card. I was then told, standing there. I wrote my room information, ZERO TIP, and a note on the top - POOR SERVICE. Total time 1 hr 20 minutes. Menu was new and NO OPTIONS (see photo for spell check issues and order). Checked out the next morning, and there was the young man who was to send up the door hanger. I checked out and explained to him what he caused. On the way home that evening, I had a call from Carmen about my complaint. She said I heard you had a complaint - I said you took it last night from me? Oh, it was reported you didn't have any towels? No...after a 30 minute call reporting issues again, I was apologized too again and we will improve. Will not...

We chose this new Doubletree because of its newness...and as far as the cleanliness, it was superb. Immaculate rooms, lobby area, etc. Love new hotels. The front desk staff was friendly and courteous. Why, then, the bad review? ||Well, the most important attribute of a hotel is the ability for you to sleep. This was not possible in our 6th floor room. In the bathroom, there was an exhaust vent (not anything you could open or switch off) that made SO MUCH NOISE that it honestly sounded like a semi tractor-trailer was idling. It made a continuous low-frequency wop-wop-wop-wop noise all night long. We immediately called the front desk and we were told that all rooms were sold out, so we had to stay in that room. We also were told that ever since the hotel was built in the spring, several rooms have had that issue in the pipes and they're looking into it. "It's worse in the summer when there's high humidity."||The noise reverberates in the walls and it wasn't until about 4 AM that we figured out that if we put our heads on the other end of the bed and feet toward the headboard, it suppressed the noise somewhat. My wife can sleep through almost anything, but this kept her up all night. To make matters worse, the air conditioning unit (which works great) does not, though, have a continuous fan mode to drown any noise out. It kicked on and off through the night.||We had driven 8 hours to get to this hotel and had to go to the cemetery to visit my mother, who passed away 1 year ago. Then we had a long 8-hour drive back home that afternoon, which was a bit dangerous because we were so exhausted. ||We asked Lee, the front desk manager, for a refund. She seemed very sympathetic and explained that there is indeed some work being done on the 6th floor. (That contradicted what we were told the evening before - that the humidity is the culprit and it's been an issue throughout the hotel) and said she would get back with us later in the day or the next day after checking with her General Manager (GM). After I called again the next day, she did speak with me and said that her GM, Kathy, had authorized the maximum compensation of 1,000 Hilton Honors points. I said I'd rather have her sleep in that room that night! I spoke with Kathy and she said there was another avenue where they can get 2,000 more points. I explained that we've been Hilton Honors members for more than 25 years and that 3,000 points (about 10% of a 30,000 point cheap hotel stay) amounts to about $15 compensation, which is quite insulting. I asked for a full refund of our stay instead. She said she would have to look up my account and talk with her boss. She said she would call back by 6 PM and never did. So, today (Day 3) I called and spoke with her. She said they cannot do a refund and they have authorized the 3,000 points. I asked why... and she said "That's all we can do." I told her that we were not happy with this in the least.||While we will not be staying at this hotel again, there was a big positive. There is a lovely and delicious Italian restaurant, named Zinna's Bistro, just over a mile away. It was...

We stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Monroe Township in Cranbury, NJ from November 22nd- November 24th for the Thanksgiving holiday. It is a new Hotel right off the NJ Turnpike and we paid almost $175/nite. We incorrectly thought that it would be a pleasant stay since I’m a Gold Hilton Honors Member, unfortunately We were Wrong !||During the first nite, at almost 2am we heard this strange sound, I woke up thinking it was Mice, it sounded like hissing or screeching across the floors. We looked everywhere in the two room suite but then I noticed that there a couple of bugs on the the windows so I approached the windows. It looked like flying roaches so I pulled back the curtains and got a can of foot spray to attempt to kill the bugs.|As I sprayed and pull back the curtains, we noticed the Bugs were all over the place, on heater, the floors, the curtains, the bedding near the foot of the bed. We sprayed excessively but couldn’t get back to sleep.||Later that morning we called the Front Desk and spoke to the Front Desk Mgr. Lee who sent Housekeeping and Maintenance up to our Suite Room 227. They sprayed mopped, tried to eliminate as many Bugs as possible and later caulked around an opening in the HVAC system to no avail. We asked to be moved to another Suite but we were told that there was not another Suite available. ||We asked the Front Desk Mgr for 1 Nite’s Recovery Stay of 40K points but they refused to do honor us with that for our gross inconvenience and room being infested with these Bugs.||Instead we were told that we would get a One Stay Certificate from Hilton we could use anywhere. Why were we told it would take 3-4 weeks to correct their gross inconvenience and our utter dissatisfaction only God knows.||It has been almost two months and after several calls to the Doubletree Hotel in Cranbury, NJ and to Hilton Honors we haven’t received neither the restricted One Nite Certificate or the 40K Recovery Points for our gross dissatisfaction.||I waited patiently for Hilton Doubletree in Cranbury, NJ to honor their word and make this right before I wrote this review. The overarching problem is the Hotel quickly takes your compensation for Stay but drags their butt to compensate guests for their stay dissatisfaction which was no fault of ours.|I cannot recommend staying at this Hilton property at 390 Forsgate Drive, MonroeTownship,...
