Update: we had a call from the manager after my post and a call from the hotel offering us free breakfast the next morning. There were redemptive actions taken, so, I know 390 prime is striving to please; this management is exceeding many other places we have eaten and not revered good service. Break fast was good and food was awesome the night before…. Just low score because of length of time it took to get ticket and pay and failure to utilize the coupon.

Original post: scored them a ā€œ1ā€ We recd a coupon for 15%off on check in at the double tree hotel. When we completed our meal, we asked one of our two waitresses for our ticket… seriously, 15 minutes passed and no ticket (we had been traveling all day and was ready to get to the hotel room) when the ticket came, we gave them cash to cover the bill… the waitress walked past our table three times as if something was wrong… after the third pass by, we asked, is something wrong…. She replied, a slight problem. We were thinking that something was up and they didn’t have cash or that they thought ours was counterfeit or something… she walked away again after saying something was slightly wrong. She eventually returned with change and said, I had a slip off the finger and didn’t apply your 15%, you can use it maybe tomorrow…. NO, we’re here for one night and I wouldn’t come back! Food was great, and service up and until we were trying to leave, but, hey, service is part of the equation! I shouldn’t have to beg to get out of your establishment and then not honor the coupon that YOUR COUNTERPART HOTEL GAVE US TO...

A must try for dinner!

FiancƩ and I dined here on 8/9/23 as we were staying in the DoubleTree vacationing in the area. For an appetizer we ordered Spinach & Artichoke with Crostini. Crostini was so good we asked for more. FiancƩ ordered the Caesar salad which she said was excellent.

For main we both ordered Petite 5oz Filet Mignon with sides Whipped Potatoes, and Broccoli Spears. My advice is to dip a piece of the Filet Mignon into the Whipped Potatoes, you won’t regret it! Broccoli Spears perfectly seasoned.

Sadly I didn’t leave enough room for desert.

Whoever prepared our meals this night, compliments to the chef. It really tasted like everything was locally sourced too.

Feedback to the owners since the establishment is new:

Regarding the Spinach & Artichoke with Crostini. I feel the portion size of the Spinach & Artichoke doesn’t match the amount of Crostini (4). I feel that Crostini should be increased to 6, and the Portion size be reduced by 25%. It was impossible to eat it all even if we loaded the top of 4 Crostinis. A secondary reason of why we asked for more, it was delicious so that’s not a bad thing!

Regarding the Caesar Salad. I tried some of my FiancĆ©s and detected some hints of vinaigrette? I’m used to ranch based dressings, and think any use of balsamic or vinaigrette in dressing should be specified on the menu.

I’ll edit my review to remove feedback if owner...

We recently dined at 390 Prime, and I have to say, it was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had at a restaurant. From the moment we walked in, there was no host to greet us, leaving us standing awkwardly at the entrance. After finally being seated, we quickly realized that there was no manager in sight to address any of our concerns. I actually had to search for a manager later in the night when the experience sank faster than the titanic.

The service was painfully slow, with our food taking over an hour to arrive. When it finally did come out, my steak was overcooked and far from the quality I expected. The entire meal was sent back, I didn’t get anything to replace it, and they tried to charge me with it. Many other food issues as well (can’t list them all).

To top it all off, I overheard staff discussing giving discounts to customers in exchange for 5-star reviews. This left me questioning the authenticity of the positive feedback this place seems to boast. Overall, I cannot recommend 390 Prime based on my experience.

Save your money and go somewhere that values its customers and provides a decent dining experience.

Complete failure of...

This is the second time I have dined here on a business trip, both experiences were awful service and the food was not good. The first trip the bartender over charged my card $120 and it took 30 minutes to resolve. Tonight I sat at the bar and it took 15 minutes to be greeted even though there only 3 other bar guests. I have worked service industry for years so it takes a lot for me to leave a bad review. The only enjoyable thing about tonight was the garden salad. I ordered the chicken rustico and the bartender forgot to put in my order , it took 45 minutes for my food to come out and it was not good, chicken was rubbery, the mashed potatoes were cold and the sauce was horribly over salted. Not once in an hour and half was my drink refilled and I had to ask 3 times for a water. I love staying at this hotel and it’s unfortunate the restaurant is so bad, clear sign of untrained staff both front of house and kitchen, and lack of management. I’ll be driving to another restaurant off site at future hotel stays.

390 Prime is a hidden gem. Located in a Double Tree in Monroe, NJ, 390 Prime has a great offering of steak options with some great sides. The restaurant itself is spacious and the service was really good. My wife and I had the NY Strip and Ribeye with Ginger carrots, mushrooms, a baked potato and the Korean BBQ pork as an appetizer. The steaks were cooked to our preference and all of the sides were delicious! The quality of service cannot be overstated. The manger and staff were pleasant, attentive and helpful! Check it out if in the area.

What a great jewel of a restaurant, found in our own backyard ā˜ŗļø Had a delicious blue cheese wedge salad complimented with a dinner of snapper and savoy spinach and sliced potatoes...tasty and fresh, making me feel like I just had dinner at the beach My husband had the 7 oz fillet mignon...cooked to perfection with a side order of carrots. Folks it doesn't get much better than This! And we were surprised with a fabulous cheese cake for our birthday dessert šŸ˜‹
