This is a small campground on Blue Ridge Lake just outside of Blue Ridge, GA. It was very quiet but it was also in the Month of March and the recreational area and beach were not open. The bath houses were clean and warm. There was only one tent camper while we were in the park. The camping lots or sites were rather small with varying degrees of levelness. Our two sites were pretty level but our rig is only 26’. Some of the lots with RVs that were larger and longer had quite a few blocks under them. Some of the more primitive lots have access to the lake but these lots are wooded and not ADA friendly. There is an official beach, picnic tables and recreational day use area. The water is fairly clear and the lake views are beautiful. My only ding with this campground is all the ruts and pop holes in the road. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. We decided to stay and extra night but that would require moving to a site without electricity and water and it was in a first come first serve basis. We relocated without a problem. The camp host let us know that he made an error in looking at the manifest. He was looking at the wrong dates. There sites available with E & W and he offered to help us move. We were content with the site we moved to and decided boondocking for a night was an opportunity to figure out just how to do it. Plus the seclusion was nice as there were no campers up...

I stayed at Site 11 the Thursday/Friday leading up to Labor Day Weekend. Campground was full that night. Parking spot for this site was large. It is only a short walk from parking out to the camping spot. Tent spot is all gravel, you won't be able to easily drive tent spikes into the ground without a mallet. Nice pole for hanging food or garbage- but this one was COVERED in wasps. Great fire pit and picnic table. I did notice several pieces of trash and glass on this site. There were lots of orange peels thrown off to the side on the walk to the site. Easy walk between two sites to get up the hill to the restroom- which was clean and spacious and quiet. I didn't use the showers. Camp host was helpful, but not friendly. I was able to get a hammock tied up on some of the trees and enjoy the breeze and view. You are literally 10 steps to the water from the picnic table. Anyone who walked or swam by mentioned it was the best site to choose! Gate is open 7am-10pm. Easy to find with GPS. Firewood is $5/bundle. The bugs weren't bad at all- but don't let anyone tell you there are no mosquitoes. There was a dog barking most of the night, but I would guess that's from the neighborhood and not the campground. Overall, would return if I could tent camp on site 11! The group of tent sites A-E(?) looked to be decent too. If you want to camp in this area, don't miss...

This was our 5th yr staying here during the July 4th holiday with our grandkids & by far the worst. The standards have dropped to unacceptable levels. The original bath house was ALWAYS FILTHY! Toilets were backed up an over flowing 3 of our 5 days, floors gross, extra rolls of TP laying on floor, shower not clean & only had hand paper towels 1 of the 5 days. When your 6 yr old gson won't use the restroom you know it's terrible. To make matters worse the camp host was just rude. I'd been there 3 days before he even spoke & it wasn't hi how are you or how's your stay but instead he stopped his golf cart & snipped out 'are you camping down here'. After I told him we were walking to our boat, he then said watch the signs I have ppl coming in here today. Really? I just told him we were only passing thru...youve seen us camping for 3 days an never said a word but your first words need to be short & ugly? FIND ANOTHER JOB CAMP HOST! YOU'VE RUN THIS PLACE INTO THE GROUND FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS! We'll be going to Vogel next year where the hosts are pleasant &...

Beautiful well kept campground with lots of great tent sites and walking opportunities. Some are walk in sites, most have a parking space in site for your vehicle, and others are good for RVs. Some sites have electricity and water hookups, others don't and are more primitive. All sites do have a picnic table, fire ring, and a flat place to set up a tent or canopy. The bathrooms are very clean and warm with heaters on the ceilings. There are 3 stalls with toilets and 3 stalls with showers in the girls bathroom. 1 shower and 1 toilet are handicapped and larger than the others. I love that the showers have benches and plenty of hooks to keep your things dry. Be aware that the showers are more of a push button situation and I didn't see a way to change the heat setting, but they sure felt great on a cold winter morning after tent camping. We visited in February and all sites were first come first served with the option to book online for most. We loved many of the sites and the beautiful views of the lake. We can't wait to come back and do more exploring next time.

Our first time here, and we wanted a centralized location to all the beautiful places and things to do near BlueRidge. This campground made the top of my list in places to camp. The sites are roomy and private and right on Blue Ridge Lake. It’s gorgeous. Our spot was #7 and we would come back to it again and again. The campground is pretty basic but very nice. The bathhouses are great- high pressure, warm showers with nice tile. Very clean! There is no camp office, but a nice fellow comes to greet you at your site. It was a quiet place with fishing, canoeing, kayaking, (swimming if you want). The lake was a dreamy turquoise and clean.
