My time at the motel 6 Moriarty was terrible management is very poor no care to the motel. We drove 7 hours to the motel arriving an hour early I went in to see if we can check in a little early and the manager said no for the fact the housekeepers were still servicing the rooms. I said that was fine we'll go get something to eat. He Said come back in an hour. As to returning to the hotel and checking in we go to our rooms we walk in to in cleaned floors were you can see dust and dirt build up, Head boards to beds not clean hand prints and other marks still on them, T.V. and wall support that holds the t.v. was dirty with hand prints and palm prints above the t.v that not clean. both mirror in the room were not cleaned can see finger prints water spots and white substance on the mirror's. The toilet bowl rocked and after using it getting off it will bang on the wall, water would come out underneath the toilet bowl after flushing. My key cards had to keeping getting new cards to open the door finally they just would not open the door we were leaving to the balloon fiesta at 3:30 a.m. told the lady at the front desk we were not able to get in our room said she was going to let the manager Christopher so they can fix it cam back at 5:30 P.m. to not being able to getin our room they kept giving us key cards that we still couldn't get in no light would go on or the door handle would not turn. The Lady at the front desk had to keep letting us in our room with the master key every time we needed to get in our room with 3 kids it was a big inconvenience. She said the maintenance man was to busy to look at the door. She said she reimburse us for a full night come to find out she only took off $35 we were suppose to stay 3 nights we only stood 2 nights. We had another room for my mother in law she had same issues with her key cards, her toilet ran all day and night. her room was in the same condition really dirty. she hung up her clothes on the closet rack and it fell down from the wall. Non-smoking signs are posted every where and it smelled so bad of smoke with a stench of mold. The management is poor the up keep of the motel is very poor. I would not return or definitely would not recommend this...
Read moreHad high hopes because of many positive reviews. But when you roll up, then step inside the lobby, you can quickly see that this is a run- down and badly patched up facility.
Pros: Decent customer service at check-in Clean sheets, firm mattress, which I like Firm, but thick pillows, also what I like Good water pressure, plenty of hot water (although our fixture was installed upside down, so hard to regulate at first) -Close proximity to a few restaurants and coffee (at a gas station) across the street
Cons: Tiny bathroom, no fan Deteriorating everything from baseboards to paint job to air conditioner. Old, and felt dirty and just painted over instead of cleaned. Thin walls and, on our visit, loud and rude nocturnal guests. Shouting in hallways, in and out, slamming doors late into the night. I had to put on nature sounds (pouring rain and thunder) for us to be able to sleep
Final note: the only reason we frequent Motel 6 is that we often travel with our 2 small dogs. In over 35 years of traveling with dogs, this is the first Motel 6 that has ever asked us for a deposit. $25, cash, lol. I really think the main reason anyone stays at Motel 6 is because dogs stay for free, no questions asked. For this run-down, not-clean, zero-ammenities facility to be the first ever to ask for a deposit seemed completely ludicrous. It's a No,...
Read moreWhomever "Sonny" (not sure how to spell his name) is at the front desk... He's a terrible staff member! We are a military family moving from Oregon to Fort Hood Texas and one of our members was behind us a day due to our Penske truck breaking down and switching it. We had to keep moving as we had pets. When he caught up the next morning, he went up to our room to help get our pets and things down since there's no elevator! But Sonny ran up the stairs yelling he can't be here! Oh boy did I go give it to him after that because his yelling cause a disabled veteran to have an anxiety attack and we had to take him to the hospital! Which put us a behind a day and wasn't able to drive as he was driving one of the vehicles. So an added expense of an additional hotel was needed because of this jerk. I told him you don't yell at people! He should have kindly asked if he could help him, if he was visiting someone or if he had a room. Not treat him like an intruder! Plus the place is super dirty and the beds feel like a a board! Stay elsewhere. Trust me. We did motel 6 at all our 5 stops and this was that worst motel 6 I've ever experienced! And some word of advice... Book your upstairs first so those with hard times on stairs can have a chance at a downstairs. Sonny told me they book downstairs first and handicap was taken. I tried explaining that they should try to leave some down stairs ones booked last for that reason (put abled bodies upstairs!) But he was only stuck on that the handicap rooms are booked when all we needed was no stairs! So inconsiderate. When I had my restaurant, I'd seat my easiest ones to get to last to hopefully leave it open for someone hard of getting around! Terrible everything. Except the housekeeping! Super friendly! Need to improve on cleaning though......
