So, this is the second time we've ordered. The first time along with our pizza we got a piece of Tiramisu. It's almost $5 but the piece was large and we ended up sharing it. This time when I go to pick up our order I look at the piece of cake I am given and actually SAY to the young fellow that it was unacceptable. The piece is SOOOO TINY. It's the original piece we got but sliced in THIRD and OF COURSE, it's the SAME five dollars (or nearly). I am a friendly person but speak up for myself and ASK him to get me another piece. He looks at me like I am CRAZY and goes to get another piece. He brings back one EVEN TINIER and I go ahead and take that because I figure he's being a smarty pants, which he probably was. Either way, we will just stick with the pizza in the future. I have uploaded a picture of this silliness. It may just be nothing to you but it was our desert and I PAID for it. Such a tiny but important way to lose the confidence of your customers trying to cut corners to make your bottom line stretch. Edit: If all the pieces are THIS tiny, then perhaps getting a smaller container so that the customer is unaware that the desert they are paying for is ACTUALLY just two bites. The first piece I got was appropriate FOR the container. The container you're using now highlight the incredibly tiny size of what should be called Tiramisu Bites. Live and learn 🤷‍♀️

Phone was answered by very professional and kind lady ( sorry I didn’t memorize her name). She knew the menu extremely well, was not rude when I needed to be corrected on the size of a specialty pizza because I did not read on the size it comes in. Husband picked up three pizzas, a full garden salad with added ham, and the cinnamon nuggets. Atmosphere was very laid back inside and the same courtesy and professionalism was still shown in person as it was on the phone. ‘The Dexter’ , ‘ The Pinto’ , and cheese pizza all were delicious. Very simple pizzas with delicious flavor and of course the ‘butter crust’ just adds to the flavor. Salad was very fresh and I like how the condiments come separate in the bag. The dessert of course , just can’t go wrong with just the right amount of cinnamon and frosting ( see photo). Highly recommend this local business due to their professionalism , kind, honest friendly staff, and great options of food to choose from with very fair pricing.

I've been driving by for a while, stopped in to check it out, and was very pleasantly surprised. The strip mall seems closed, but Butter Crust Pizza, was very much alive and kicking! I met with Sarah, one of the owners, who was very nice and took the time to explain things and show me the menu. Family owned and operated, very clean, kitchen and bathrooms, which is very important to my family and myself. It is Covid so everyone was masked and it was carryout or delivery only. I live 3 miles down a dirt road, but they knew where I was and actually deliver there! OVERALL very happy with what I've seen, they also have salads, wings, pitchers of beer for 8 bucks once the ban is lifted. I CANT WAIT TO GO AND EAT IN THEIR PLACE! I wish there was a combo plate so I could try all their pizzas at once, and the beers too! 5 stars so far!

  • NOTE: This review is a cumulation of four years of trying to eat here and the responder from this establishment shows the level of experience I received.* I have eaten here twice so waited until I was out of the hospital to report. The first time was during a weekday and I had their pizza bowl. If you’ve ever had a desire for heartburn and indigestion undercooked in a cup, this is your meal! The acidity of the tomato paste that they used almost scorched the cheese into curds while the gooey clump of toppings made for a mixed meat ball of doom. When I asked the staff if they could remake it I was told that “take it or leave it, bro.” As I attempted to choke it down, I was accosted and forced to move to make room for some roaming band of customers from the weed shop next door.

Trying to support small business, I went back again this last week to attempt to rectify my experience at Buttercrust. After seeing the flood of advertising on Facebook and the East Mountain 411 commenters on how spectacular the pizza was, I decided that was my best bet. I ordered a beer and pizza, took my number and found a seat. 20 minutes later the staff came to me and asked me to leave for loitering! Mind you, they still hadn’t delivered my beer. It and the pizza came out after a 40 minute wait. To my surprise, the beer was hot and the pizza was cold. Once again I felt the sting of the acidic canned tomato sauce burn anew, which was only tempered by the “buttered crust.” It took six napkins to wipe enough grease off to eat a slice. I saved the grease for my trailer hitch outside. After two slices, I sipped my beer just to find out not only was it coffee warm but flatter than NM41 south of town. Knowing my interactions with the high school matured staff and not wanting to interrupt their TikTok video, I knew the answer for asking to speak to the manager. I hung my head lowly knowing that I had done my best to support a local business only to be beaten by poor food and lackluster staff. Least there’s another local pizza place nearby… Sidebar: the greased up pizza slice gave me a gastrointestinal nightmare which dehydrated me to the point of...

We have been loyal customers to this business for years. We ordered a custom made pizza and dessert. The order I placed was a few hours ago in advance and I asked them to be here by a specific time. That time came and went and we never had our order delivered. So I called the business to ask where our food was, the person who answered was extremely rude, gave no answer, and began yelling at me on the phone, they slammed the phone down put me on hold. 4 minutes later, the manager Daniel picks up and I asked who was the employee that was yelling at me, he stated he had no idea so somebody went and got him and he had no idea who it was that was even doing the yelling or who was having the problem with me, so he in turn decides to start treating me with a berated attitude and tone right off the bat, he stated that he wanted to address the issue but he didn't address the issue even after I explained it. Instead he made up a lame excuse as to why our order isn't here yet. He didn't even bother to apologize nor state that it was wrong for his employee to be yelling at customers nor do we still have our order, it's over 30 minutes late as of this point. I will NEVER buy from this garbage business again and I will be taking it higher. *edited in response to the garbage response: This isn't the first time that people have called out this business on their pathetic responses in which they attack their formers customers on. They don't do right by their customers, they refuse to ensure good business policies, and when they are called out on it they then come here to further attack. It's too bad that this business thinks that they have the right to bestow unethical business practices upon the people in their community and that because they are the only "owner" that they can just simply get away with it. It's too bad that this business isn't very smart in...

Edited due to the MANY LIES IN YOUR RESPONSE.....THERE WAS 1 GENTLEMAN THAT WALKED IN BEHIND US...WITHIN 5 SECONDS OF MY PUPPY IN TRAINING STARTED BARKING I STARTED WALKING HIM OUTSIDE TO THE PATIO DOOR, YOU SAID I COULDNT EXIT OUT OF. YOUR RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW IS PATHETIC AND ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL. YOU TOOK ZERO RESPONSIBILITY FOR HOW YOU AND YOUR 1 STAFF MEMBER HANDELED THE SITUATION. THEN YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO LIE!!! TO WONT MAKE IT IN YOUR BUSINESS WITH YOUR POOR ATTITIDE. I DO NOT WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK AND I WOULDNT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO YOUR "ESTABLISHMENT"

We are from Indiana and stayed in Moriarty for 3 nights....on our third night we decided to try you guys. Keys points are:

We were allowed the both our service and service dog in training into the restaurant with reluctance and rolling eyes from the young girl at the register.

My dog in training who is 14 weeks old barked less than 5 times when a gentleman walked in. (I immediately apologized to the man who was not offended or bothered in any way and looked for the closest exit to take the puppy outside)

Before I could even get out the door a lady came from the back...no hello, excuse me, etc. From her. She used an extremely uninviting attitude towards me and said you can't go out that door and if your dog is going to be loud he can't be in here.

My thought is that if she had to tell me in such a unprofessional way that the door I was going out of was locked....she already saw me going outside with the dog. So why even make a scene or make us feel unwelcome if I was already removing the puppy.

I was even willing to eat outside with my dog but after she was so rude we left. We definetly won't be back or recommending...
