This property is such a nice, quiet, and charming getaway venue. It's the classic B&B but with modern enhancements and elevated accommodations that make staying here competitive with choosing a 4 or 5 star hotel/resort. If you want a more personal touch to your hospitality service, this place is it. It's a locally owned B&B/hotel comprised of 8 separate cottages that were built by the owner himself, and they are built VERY well - not shoddy workmanship at all like you see in house flips. It's clear the owner designed and built these cottages as if he were going to live in them himself. From heated bathroom floors, to the fireplace by the bed, to the beautiful bathroom and kitchen, this is creates such a cozy, intimate vibe for a perfect couples getaway. My husband and I stayed here in June 2024. This was our second time to Napa, and we previously stayed at a 5-star hotel in downtown Napa the first time. We agreed this was a different hotel vibe for sure, but the service and grounds were a good different, again, if you want a quieter, more cozy, and personal getaway. It's a very romantic atmosphere. The daily deliveries of breakfast pastries from Bouchon every morning at 7am was something you don't see at other hotel chains. We looked forward to that basket on our cottage doorstep each morning, and we're not pastry people. Each cottage has a patio and outdoor fireplace and patio furniture that makes it the perfect spot for a romantic evening with your spouse by a fire each night - and they delivery smores kits and wine to your room to complete the experience. All in all, 5 stars! Excellent service. Just as great as staying at a large...
Read moreI cannot express in words how special this spot is! You feel a million miles away it is so sheltered by beautiful trees, but you are minutes away from all the good stuff Napa Valley has to offer! Mike the proprietor is a super star host, brimming with both charm and knowledge. We were welcomed by the team and enjoyed a special house made Nochino (maybe spelled wrong!) a delicious walnut liquor. We had a quick tour of the property which is gorgeous and even had a peek into one of the largest cottages with some history about the original property owners, Mike is a wonderful storyteller! The cottages are well-appointed with so many thoughtful details-excellent robes (I regret not buying one!), a lovely spa bathtub (best bath pillow ever!) and even a complimentary bath bomb-quality toiletries, towels and great water pressure in shower. The beds and pillows were truly comfortable and the softest sheets! The little kitchen was just what you needed to enjoy fresh local eggs (provided) along with your pastry fairy delivery of most excellent Bouchon treats (once you spy the line out the door at the bakery you will appreciate this even MORE). There was even a bottle of complimentary wine from a local winery and an assortment of snacks. The honor bar was a nice touch and of course included a famous Napa wine that we HAD to try! Our private patio was set up for an evening fire and all the gear needed was tucked away in the coffee table for easy access. Even the blinds on the windows are genius! This is such a special place, and I feel so lucky that we discovered it! We will indeed be back. If you are undecided about where to stay-stop...
Read moreFor our visit to Napa Valley, my wife and I were looking for a place to act as a home base for our various winery tours. The Cottages at Napa Valley fit the bill perfectly.
Our Romantic King Cottage (#3) was great! The cottage was quiet, spacious, and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room in the bathroom for us to both get ready at the same time. The only downfall was that the tubâs additional features were non-functional during our stay, however it still worked as a tub which was still very relaxing. The kitchenette had everything we needed for making French Press coffee in the morning and keeping leftovers and wine cool at the end of the day. The outdoor fire pit at each cottage is relatively private and easy to get started with the provided fire-starter and matches. Sound will carry so if there is a group of people in the common area, their noise could intrude if youâre looking for a silent, outdoor retreat.
By far our favorite part of the cottages was the breakfast in the morning. The Bouchon pastries and newspaper made for a great, relaxing start to our busy days.
Between the great location and value, you would be hard pressed to beat what Mike and his staff provide to you during your stay elsewhere in the valley. We will definitely be returning during future trips and are already looking...
