Overall this was a good hotel. The staff who welcomed us were very friendly and accommodating. The room on the first floor was a bit noisy but manageable. The room was spacious and had a large comfy bed, it was also nicely decorated and convenient to use except for the bathroom which had a shower without handle, no control over the water pressure and a curtain which was not easy to use as it spilled some water and triggered some hygienic questions. The hotel featured a pool and a hot tub. Both were available but did not have any towels in the area. The hot tub did not have any bubbles. There was an ice dispenser on the floor but there was no water dispenser although we could get some water from the breakfast area. The breakfast itself was not good although they position the rooms as breakfast included. They did not have any meat at all. The yogurt did not taste well. The peanut butter had hydrogenated vegetable oil in the contents. The only nice option was the waffles but it was difficult to find something not utterly artificial to put on top of the waffles. They had eggs which was probably the healthiest food option. The location is not central - you need a 10 min taxi or ride to go to the city center. Overall the breakfast experience left a bitter aftertaste, otherwise I would probably lean towards borderline 5 stars

5 Stars – A Birthday to Remember Thanks to Randy! I can’t say enough great things about my experience at Napa Winery Inn — especially thanks to Randy at the front desk! From the moment I arrived, he made me feel welcomed, acknowledged my 50th birthday with such warmth, and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Every time I passed through the lobby, Randy greeted me with a friendly smile, made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of, and was incredibly accommodating. He thoughtfully took the time to explain all the best local deals, restaurants, and wineries — which made exploring Napa even more enjoyable. What truly touched me was the personalized birthday surprise: wine, chocolates, and a beautiful card just for me. It was so thoughtful and unexpected, and it made me feel truly celebrated. I loved and appreciated every detail of my stay, and Randy was a huge part of why it was so special. Thank you, Randy, for your kindness, hospitality, and for making my milestone birthday unforgettable. You are a gem, and Napa Winery Inn is lucky to have you!

This hotel would be nice if they had competent staff and management. Let's divulge my experience:

Upon arrival at the hotel I go to check-in, no problems. I proceed to collect our luggage and we head to the elevator to get to the 3rd floor. In the elevator, we smell an electrical burning scent and upon getting to our floor, the entire hallway is filled with smoke. As we proceed down to the lobby, we let the front desk assistant know about the issue and the fire department is called. So far, nothing that is the fault of this hotel.

Fast forward to 11:30pm, after we've been sitting outside waiting for things to clear, the firemen inform us that they believe it was an electrical short and they have an idea of what caused it, but nothing was shutdown, so whatever caused this full floor to fill with smoke is still running, which obviously caused some concern for our safety the rest of the night. Upon arriving back to the third floor, there is still smoke and some had penetrated my room. I called to ask about the smoke and was told that "it should clear up", which is absolutely ridiculous.

Finally got to sleep around 1am, only to have to be up at 6am the next morning with not even an apology or consideration of the incident from the front desk staff that morning as we left.

To make all this better, I called the parent company (Ascend/Choice) to file a complaint and was told I would hear directly from a hotel rep within 48 hours. About a week later, I get a call from someone I'm certain works at an overseas call center, stating that the hotel chose not to respond to the complaint, so there's nothing they can do for me, but don't worry, they offered a free night so I can stay in another one of their horrible hotels.

Not only will I not stay in this hotel, I won't be staying in any hotels in this group because they obviously have no control over...

I wish there was an ability to give a 0 star rating. I stayed for one night, the room was acceptable but what was appaling was the MANAGER! Upon checkout I asked if rooms were available if I decided to stay another night and lengthen my vacation. The fantastic gentleman checking me out said very few rooms were taken and I was guaranteed the same rate. Not having my fill of this beautiful area, I decided to stay. I drove 45 minutes from Santa Rosa and when I came to check in was told the rate was higher. I told the MANAGER whom was checking me in that I had been guaranteed the same rate as the previous night. He confirmed an email was received by him earlier in the day explaining I might be coming back and what my rate was. He then declined to honor the rate and through our discussion became petty and rude. He then stated that he didn't feel any obligation to rent me a room and that I should leave. I stayed my feelings on the matter and how dismayed I was with the way he was conducting himself. We had driven back a long way to stay at a promised rate. He offered to take $10 off the room which again I felt was petty. He then embarrassingly asked me if I wanted to pay the discount rate, which was higher than the rate i was guaranteed earlier or the FULL PRICE! I simply told him I felt he should honor the rate promised by one of his representatives but it was up to him to decide the man he wanted to be... SO HE CHARGED ME THE FULL PRICE FOR THE ROOM WITH NO DISCOUNT!!! Please be careful dealing with a businessman who openly places a $10 value on...
