The Nauvoo Grand Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Nauvoo

Perhaps the best B&B I've ever stayed in. The home and grounds are beautiful, the interior is filled with period furnishings, and my room - I stayed in Beth's Forest - was gorgeous. My bed was very comfortable and the attached bathroom was small (this is an old house after all) but very nice. Arrival was a snap - key and welcome note left for me on a foyer table. As impressive as the accommodations were, the breakfast was amazing. I've never been to a B&B before were so much food - and really good food - was provided for breakfast. ||||There are a couple of down-sides. First, its about a mile and a half from historic Nauvoo, down a narrow country road with no sidewalks. But since you'll drive your car here, that's not much of a downside. Second, Nauvoo (in September 2021) had precious few restaurant options and the bridge over the Mississippi to Fort Madison - which would ordinarily be a short drive to many more dining options - was under construction and closed. That's it.||||I highly recommend the Nauvoo Grand Bed and Breakfast, and would definitely stay...

We enjoyed our entire experience staying at this beautiful Bed & Breakfast! This was our first time staying in Nauvoo while we visited for the Nauvoo & British pageants in August and Lauri, the Grand Innkeeper, was absolutely delightful! She is a natural hostess and put us at ease from the beginning to the end while being so friendly, accommodating, genuinely caring about us & our stay (and each of her guests)..and her food is yummy to the tummy while also being presented & plated so lovely! We enjoyed a delicious evening snack and scrumptious breakfasts each morning! Got an excellent night's sleep each night in a comfortable bed. Lauri toured us when we arrived and we can't wait to come back and stay again throughout the year, staying in any of the available, clean, beautifully appointed rooms. Lauri is a people person who has many talents that make her especially perfect as the Innkeeper of this gorgeous home.
