I am very disappointed with this year’s upkeeping. There are no buoys in the lake which is dangerous for any swimmers, only one of the three useable piers has chairs to sit on/ fish off of, and not to mention that the sand is littered with weeds and seaweed. Seeing that the lake is one of the big sellers at this resort, its upsetting to see just how little the lake is actually taken care of.
Update- this year the lake still didn’t have any buoys put in, which is upsetting and I hope for next season their will be buoys 🤞🏻on the plus side the beach is very taken care of and raked every week which is greatly appreciated! Although one of the most upsetting and aggravating factor this season was the pool. Almost every time I was at the pool there were people drinking alcohol, especially in the pool, this raises some safety concerns with slipping, impaired judgment, and even possible broken glass or alcohol in the pool itself. Not to mention most of the adults who are “socializing” all day don’t even watch their kids in the pool which is extremely dangerous! Half the time the group that would come to the pool to drink wouldn’t even be wearing their bathing suit just normal clothes just to come to the pool and drink, which made it very uncomfortable for the residents that come to the pool for it’s actual use to swim. I hope that with new management and a new season next year there will be more rules and regulations that come in...
Read moreAnnual resident for many years now. As someone else has already stated in the reviews, there is no national internet service available here for residents. There is a service, where you can request a voucher from the manager to allow tempoary service. The problem with this service is it is not up to days standards and is not much better than the "old days" dial-up service.||That being said, at least the 4% annual lease increase which we have been the constant for the last 4 years, is different this year. It has now gone to 5.35% with absolutely no increase in service or amenities.||And now in these difficult times with the Covid-19 virus affecting the entire world and most companies either helping directly either the general public or it's customers. Not here, opening day (usually April 1st) has now been delayed. (which is most likely prudent), but the due date for your annual rent remains the same, also April...
Read moreThis park advertises itself as an Encore/Thousand Trails park. We are Thousand Trails members and called to see if we needed to add this particular zone and the cost, as we live in the south and were planning a trip to the South Bend area to see family. The lady we spoke to on the phone was beyond rude. She kept cutting us off as we were explaining the situation. The CampUSA app says it's a TT park and the website indicates the same.. but when you call, you can't book your TT, they don't offer TT discount.. and apparently it's not TT. The lady we spoked to even said "WE AREN’T THOUSAND TRAILS AND WE ARE FULL SO DON’T BOTHER CALLING US AGAIN. “ We have stayed at many TT and Encore parks and were appalled by the lack of customer service from this employee. If, in fact, they are not TT/Encore, they should not indicate such. If they are going to stick with the fact that they don't honor either, then...
