Steve Alford All American Inn — Hotel in New Castle

I give it 0 stars. I checked in. Go to my room. Within 10 minutes someone is banging on my door to let them in. My husband goes to the door and someone is banging on the door yelling open this door let me in repeatedly. My husband goes to the door and says through it, how may I help you? This woman is screaming I smell your pot open the door. He opens it slightly and says we are not smoking pot. Who are you? She never identifies herself. He calls the front desk and I go down. This woman that was at our door, who has yet to identify herself, is screaming at me that she called the police. I said what. I was told it was very suspect that I didn't open the door. I said had you identified yourself I would have gladly opened the door. She was screaming in my face I don't need to identify myself. I said I would like your name. She screamed April Bartlett and I don't need to identify myself. I said there is proper protocol and you did not follow it. The police arrived. They found no pot at all...which they wouldn't because my husband or myself don't do that or any other drug. I have two children with me that are horrified. On October 2nd I called the raintree inn where I normally go to rent a room for whatever reason and they were completely full so I went to steve Alfred inn and rented a room for one night I agreed to pay. I checked out turn in my key and told them by last nothing was said. The next morning I check my debit card and noticed there was an additional $200 missing so I called the Steve Alford in and they told me that they took $200 out for a deposit and I would not be getting it because they smelled smoke on my niece when she returned the keys. I am happy and proud to say that my family is a nonsmoking family and has been for the past 6 months. Obviously there is someone working there that has a side hustle of deducting more money than they are given permission to deduct. This place has gone WAY downhill. We checked in and found FECES on the bathroom floor. We were moving to another room and it had DRIED URINE all over the toilet. We then were moved to a 3rd room which ended up being better than the first two with my only complaint being several long black hairs in the tub which, based on the filthiness of first two rooms, we happily dealt with.

The manager was asked to call me on Monday when she came in to work and by Thursday I still had not heard from anyone. I called in and was advised that they had issued me a credit of $30. I asked why I wasn't called and was told that they didn't think it was necessary. I asked for the owner to call me and was told he probably wouldn't which he has still yet to.
