Was very dissatisfied. Wouldn't recommend to anyone, ever. Only posted 1 star because this app made me or I couldn't post a review. DO NOT stay there! This is a reply to your reply. I have no desire to go to the website because I won't be staying there again. I'm not trying to be rude, just honest. When I got there, the TV in my room didn't work. I asked the desk clerk for another room. She gave me one. In the second room, there was no hot water and no water pressure, so I had to take a shower under a cold trickle. The air conditioner wouldn't keep the room cool, so I kept waking up laying in a pool of sweat, causing me to take another disappointing shower. The refrigerator in the room had old, leftover food in it that had been there so long it had spoiled and was emitting a foul smell. But what was really upsetting was when I told the other desk clerk that I was dissatisfied, she just said she was sorry I was unhappy, yet nobody came to my room to check the problems , not even to remove the old food from the refrigerator. I've stayed in cheaper hotels where one would expect a few problems because of the price, but Hampton Inn charges a premium for their rooms. At those prices, one would expect the rooms to be adequate and the staff to be accommodating. A hotel room should at least have the three basic amenities for travelers. A comfortable bed, a hot shower and a tv to watch. I was vastly disappointed in all three. She offered me another room, but I had already stayed two days under those conditions and didn't want to try anymore. I finished out that night and checked out as soon as I could book another room.i just hope they get those problems fixed so the next person doesn't have the same experience I did. I heard later that the hotel had recently taken tornado damage. I'm sorry to hear that and I sincerely hope that the problems get resolved and the hotel is brought up to the same standards as the other Hampton inns I've stayed at, which were all up to the standards one would expect. Thank you for taking the time to read my complaint...
Read moreI stayed here in December 2024 after severe thunderstorms forced me out of a nearby campground. The location is immediately off the highway, but you need to go a little out of your way to get there. Evening staff was friendly, and rates were reasonable. The first floor room was spacious and clean, though the lighting was a bit awkward.
Some problems arose, though. First, I discovered during the night that the housekeeping staff failed to provide my room with any bath towels at all. There were only washcloths and face/hand towels. I had to ask the front desk for something that any room should have as standard procedure. Second, the front desk would not let me pay cash for some ice cream from the snack bar. While I gladly put it on my room bill, I am disappointed that they do not accept cash even for incidentals.
My biggest problem came in the morning, though. When I went to grab breakfast, I discovered there was no waffle machine. I have always gravitated toward staying at Hampton Inns over the years due to their delicious waffles. When I went and asked the morning front desk girl about it, she just said "Oh, we ran out of batter" with a total cavalier attitude about it. I find it unacceptable that I did not receive at least an apology for not having waffles, given that it is something Hampton Inn is known for. I struggle to see how they ran out of batter. This same girl was later very eager for me to check out before I was done taking my belongings to the car.
The lack of waffles at a Hampton Inn in and of itself is grounds for losing a star. The attitude of the morning front desk girl and lack of towels in my bedroom cost this location a second star. I would give this location a second chance if I am ever in the area again, but would expect these problems to...
Read moreThe room that I had was by far the dirtiest room I have ever seen and I stay in hotels 3 weeks of every month. Absolutely disgusting. I'll save you the time and tell you to FIND ANOTHER HOTEL. The rooms here are super filthy! See the photos for yourself:
Here are the Pros: Friendly Staff Fridge works (so well that is freezes everything with no way to adjust temperature) The faux plant was a nice touch in the room (too bad it was caked with dust) Paper towels in the kitchenette were appreciated Ceiling fan helped push the air around, much needed
Here are the Cons: Dirtiest hotel room EVER Dust all over the TV and faux plant Fingerprints and smears all over the tables, night stand, and counter tops. It had clearly NOT been wiped down at all. Soap scum all over the shower walls, many layers just caked on there Lightbulbs were blown on overhead light Various strains in hair in BOTH beds, in the sheets Some sort of human excrement stain on the curtains (I'll pretend it was spit) The bathroom mirror had water stains all over it. It was obvious it had not been cleaned prior to my visit Toilet seat wouldn't stay up. One of the most frustrating parts of my stay! Stains were all over the ironing board that rubbed off on clothes when attempting to iron them Leftover trash behind the night stand from previous tenants Some pillows smelled really bad like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time Water pressure in the shower and sinks were consistently inconsistent One of the two elevators were out of service. The other "working" elevator shook the whole way up/down making me very anxious. I took the stairs to the 3rd floor for the rest of my stay. Yellow stains...
