If you want peace of mind , dont book this hotel.Do not get fooled by the fancy photos online.Within similar price or maybe even lower , you will find plenty better options. First of all, the hotel's location is tricky. Our Uber driver couldn't find it at first and went to a different Hilton hotel. We thought maybe the driver was new to that area. But later on when we ordered pizza from pizza hut( there is absolutely no shop or restaurant nearby) , the pizza guy went to the same different Hilton hotel. Its just an unnecessary additional frustration for you. Now the best part. I booked this hotel more than 3 months back through Priceline. I booked a studio room with 2 queen bed. When I arrived at the hotel, they said in their system it says 1 queen accessible room.I show them the reservation but they said its Priceline's fault and they cant do anything since all the room is full in the hotel. Now, with a kid I am stuck in this 1 bed unit. When I checked with Priceline, they confirmed that it was indeed a 2 queen room. They wanted me to relocate to a different hotel which was even troublesome for me at 9:30pm with all these luggage already settled.I dont know whose fault was that. If you want to take that risk and find out , good luck to you. I also requested a late checkout of 3pm .They said they need time for cleaning and couldn't do any later than 12 pm .To this point , you would think they take extra care for cleaning. However that was a complete joke.I found soiled plates inside drawer , food stain inside microwave and one piece of dirty towel inside bathroom. This was not the first Hilton I stayed in . I mostly stayed in Double tree hotels and all those hotels were top notch. But this was by far the worst experience I ever had.I even had better luck in Motel 6 than this. Never expected this from Hilton.Such a bad day !! Update: Even after letting the front desk know about the soiled plates, dirty microwave and towel , nobody bothered to come and clean .Thats how bad the hotel is.

I don't usually post reviews but this location deserves the acknowledgement and praise. I was travelling from Indiana to Newark for a concert and had done my due diligence in reviewing all the hotels in the area to make sure I was somewhere comfortable and safe. This hotel had the best reviews and was also reasonably priced so I booked my room through Trivago. The airport shuttle was prompt and the driver was very personable, I really appreciated the small talk about the area on the ride to the hotel. I arrived before check in time but was assured they would hold my luggage and I could check back in later when my room was ready. As De'pesha (sorry if that is spelled incorrectly) was checking my reservation she informed me that it had been canceled by Trivago a week prior. I immediately went into panic mode as I had just received confirmation two days prior that my reservation was confirmed. She informed me the type of room I booked was sold out and that was when the panic set in. I had already prescheduled my Lyft rides and now was left unsure of where I was going to go. I sat down in the lobby as I tried to figure out how to contact Trivago but after spinning my wheels I got up and thanked them for letting me hang out until I could figure out what I was going to do. She must have saw how distraught I was and called over another lady to look over the cancelation to see if they were able to get the money from Trivago and assured me they would take care of me. I was almost in tears that they were willing to go that extra mile and ensure I would have a place to stay and I wouldn't have to rework my entire schedule. I can't speak highly enough of the staff at this location. The rooms were clean, the included breakfast was phenomenal..and overall I was blown away by the level of hospitality I received. Please send kudos to the front desk staff, the night clerk, and the shuttle driver..these individuals made a huge positive impact on my day and really showed up to represent the brand!

I will start off with the positives: The hotel seems to be very new and well-maintained as far as the inside and outside everything look really clean. The staff was pretty friendly especially the man working maintenance on the pool. The breakfast was pretty run-of-the-mill continental breakfast they stood out because they had fresh blackberries and blueberries for your oatmeal or waffles. But the place has very good nightly rates so it was always pretty crowded at breakfast unless you went at 7am. Now for the negative: At check in they place an additional $50 per night hold on your card, in the event that you get anything from the bar or buy any of the very overpriced food or snacks from them. It takes 3 days to put the money back into your account. The hotel is located in a tangled maze of interstate on and off ramps. There are not any stores or restaurants anywhere near it without getting on the insane interstate loops. Travel to NYC every day was a nightmare. We should have stayed in the city. A little extra per night would have more than covered all the money we spent on parking and tolls and metro and bus rides. If you go to NYC park near Penn Station and ride in that way. When we checked in we requested our 3 rooms be near each other, and we were given the wrong room and had to move our whole party to a different floor after we had unpacked. Our room kept running out of hot water after only a few minutes. We called down to the front desk about it and nothing was done about it. The pool was closed down because someone threw up in it and the one and only elliptical machine had a bolt loose and made a terrible sound when used. There are no safes to keep your valuable belongings. All the rooms we saw had showers only and no bathtubs, which was a big downfall for me. This hotel is probably fine if you are just staying overnight because your flights got changed but if you are making a trip to go see New York City I definitely wouldn't stay here.

CHiC hotel, Completely Renovated, Reception & Haus cleaning staff are AMAZING!!!!....I've stayed enough times to reach GOLD w/Hilton in 1 month.

I travel 300 days per year so I can TELL U about hotels.

I've been in several rooms, all over the hotel & the cleaning staff is TOP! I'm always greeted by Tra & other reception staff when I call reception to ask for a late checkout.

The Chamber is done in Warm colours, w/accents of Bright colours...just enough to make both colours POP!

Hilton lets you go DIRECTLY to your chambre via the mobile key on their app so you don't even have to talk to Humans, if you're in a mood.

I've stayed during the week, weekend & holidays & quite the contrary, I have never heard any loud guest, music & certainly no one smoking weed or cigaretts. This hotel is very quite & peaceful. Mostly Professionsls staying & working in the area....not a lot of Families.

The Suites are very LARGE. King size bed, Sofa bed that can also sleep 2 Adults that is divided by a Ceiling to floor curtain that matches the Sofa Bed so it looks like it's own Chambre when pulled. Microwave/Convetion oven, Fridge w/freezer on the bottom, Full size Dishwasher, plates, glasses, utensils, bowls, silverware,etc....everything you need in a kitchen.

The shuttle collects you from P4 airport terminsl stop. Home 2 Suites & Fairfield hotel share a shuttle, BUT, u can take the Springhill suites or Marriott Courtyard shuttle also......these 4 hotel are DIRECTLY beside one another.....mayb a half block (100m) from another....just tip the van driver when you get out of the respective shuttle & walk over.

The hallway carpet is also being replaced I was informed. They have "Renovation" signs up. I've never heard "ANY" renovation noise.........

I've stayed at hotels all over the WORLD. This Hauscleaning staff should be sent over to the Ritz Carlton in a few locations or the Marriott Santiago, Chile because those hotel staff need to LEARN from Home 2 Suites hauscleaning staff HOW to clean a Chambre!!!! YES! I said it!

Washer & Dryer (2$) are in the lobby both Top & Front load washers. Gym has various workout machines w/Two treadmills.

Breakfast is like a ZOO! Humans just don't know how to act when FREE food is involved. Better to Grab & Go.....believe me!!!

Overall, this is my New GO TO hotel in the area near Newark Int'l airport. The part I like most is it's not pretentious like other major hotel brands, who NEVER live up to anyone's standard but charge you an Arm & a Leg.

Major hotels brands are like any other Metropolitian area....Expensive, Loud, crowded & dirty.........Home 2 Suites is more like the "Speak Easy" that is there but only a few know about it. Best kept secret near this...

I stayed 3 days. My room was clean, nothing super fancy but I wasn’t expecting the ritz-carlton 😂. When I landed I called the hotel for their complementary shuttle to pick me up, and to my surprise, I was informed by the receptionist that a shuttle ran automatically nonstop. I had to wait only 15mins and my shuttle arrived. The driver was very polite and quiet. The shuttle was nice and cool and clean. It was a schooling 90° outside.so I was very thankful for the a/c.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I will say the hotel definitely exceeded my expectation upon entering it.

This was in fact one of the nicer remolded extended suits. The staff were always very pleasant and accommodating.

My plane arrived early and they DID allow me to do an early check-in without issue once the room was ready. Meanwhile, I did wait in the lobby and worked on my laptop while I waited. Not an issue as they didn’t expect me, it was more than reasonable request. The lobby had a modern cheerful & nice atmosphere with charging ports continently located on the tables and the booths.

The hotel did NOT smell like smoke nor was it out dated or dirty like someone had posted.

The complimentary breakfast was nice. They didn’t have a whole feast of varieties but they did cover more than the basics and the quality was good. I rather have less variety and better quality prepared food.

They had coffee, tea and several juices . They had dry cereals, yogurt ,oatmeal (with berries, nuts and toppings ) , fresh fruits, waffle maker, bagels, toast, and muffins. Then there were hot premade by the staff hosting the breakfast (very sweet Hispanic lady- she was the best)- several kinds of breakfast sandwiches (some of the sandwiches were made on English muffin. Some of them were made on brie and others were made on biscuits ) there were ham/cheese/ Canadian bacon/ bacon/turkey options inside them )and omelets (plain egg&cheese and egg with veggies mixed in).

I really like that my room had a dividing curtain for the bed to the living room area. The room size was great. The bathroom was modern and clean. No tub. Thank goodness. Nice large stand up shower. The toilet is low for really tall ppl. But I’m shorter so I did not mind at all.

Only down side to being this close to the airport is that you don’t have the downtown easy walking access of restaurants and shops. But that’s common sense knowing the location. So you have to Uber/lyft places or you can always have groceries delivered here or food.

It felt safe, clean and I would highly recommend for anyone needing to stay near...

Just don’t book this hotel. We saw “by Hilton” and thought it would be similar to a Hampton Inn. It is nothing like one. It is very low end.

Lots of problems. I will say the Interactions with the staff have been mostly very good and I want to give them credit for that. They seem to try to do what they can, but something is broken somewhere and no one on the staff seems to be able to get all the problems corrected or addressed. Unfortunately, anything positive ends here. When we booked, it shows it had a pool, but when we got here we were told it was closed due to Covid. I have not seen any other business still doing that. There were no drinks at breakfast, other than coffee. We were told the juice machine was broken. You would think they would set out some bottles of juice or something, but they did not. I finally complained that the kids should have some juice or something and was offered a “complimentary” bottle of water. The cleanliness is not there. Everything has a 75% clean look to it, but nothing seems to be totally clean. Our room had a horrible odor. We first noticed it on our first morning. Someone came to our room and agreed it was bad, but said there was nothing they could do. They offered us a can of spray to try to kill the odor. We had to breathe it the entire week of our stay. The manager later explained that there is a problem with the air conditioning system and that it will let odors in from other parts of the hotel. Because the hotel was full, they could not offer another room. The manager said we deserved a free night for the inconvenience, but said they couldn’t give it due to how we paid for the hotel (through a third party). They did offer us free parking, to which I replied no one had told us parking was an added fee (I think they said it was $17 per night after the manager explained there was a fee). No one on the staff speaks English except for the people at the front desk, so you can’t communicate with anyone at breakfast or in housekeeping. We tried a few times, but wasn’t successful. There is no cleaning service for the room unless you stay over 3 days and then you have to request it. For the amount we paid, this was not a good value at all. Very poorly managed and it appears someone needs to get involved with all the problems this hotel has. They need to get the juice machine repaired or set up a system so kids don’t have to go the front desk to beg for “complimentary” water. The pool needs to be opened back up and the cleanliness should be addressed. Our first and last time with...
