Generally I have high praise for loading docks, shipping and receiving etc. This is one of the few places I can make no such claim. One of the clerks who seemed to have a Jamaican accent was heard and seen berating a woman for absolutely no reason that I could discern. He was abusive, nasty and I can find nothing positive to say about this individual. For this privilege people get to sit for extensive periods of time. When you finally do get assigned a door you find that 4 to 5 forklift operators are simply sitting around doing absolutely nothing. This is not an exaggeration. United knows it apparently and does absolutely nothing about it. The forklift operator that loaded me had virtually no idea what he was doing. And damaged my vehicle. Read moreService is generally slow but that's usually due to volume so I can't fault them much on that. However I can fault them on warehouse personnel flat out ignoring drivers trying to make pickups or deliveries.
Every once in a while I'll see a few managers having a little huddle in the warehouse, however today was very different. An individual, possibly employee, tripped and fell on a rug that was just delivered by Cintas. Because of this more than ten managers have gotten involved as this is a safety hazard. Meanwhile on a day today occurrence the parking lot is so over filled with trucks and vans that it will completely block access from the main road in addition to spilling out into the road, somehow this isn't a safety violation that needs attention.
