We had an unfortunate event occur where $100 went missing out of our hotel room that was inside of a graduation card that was laying on the desk in our hotel room. After reporting it to the hotel manager, she had a very strange approach to the situation. I was told that the house keeper said our room was messy and the money was lost because of that. We had 5 people (3 young kids) traveling and staying in 1 room. We had a lot of stuff, but the room was not that "messy". I took pictures of the room, however, I feel that this defense is irrelevant.
Regardless of the state of the room, there is no way the money could have gone missing without someone opening the envelope, removing the money, putting the card back how it was, tucking it back and placing it back where it was on the desk. Because our kids are so young, they wouldn't have been capable of doing this.
I know I can't prove that the house keeper stole the money because we didn't have a camera in our room but I know it was taken and I want record of that because I don’t want this person to get away with doing this to someone else.
On Monday May 12th around 10:20am after I reported the theft to the hotel I didn't want to leave our room without knowing the staff would not be entering the room while we were gone. I asked the front desk to ensure nobody would come in, she said they would not. We did not have a "do not disturb" plaque in our room so I attempted to ask the house keeper that was servicing the room next door for one. I knocked on the door (it was propped open with the security latch) and when she opened the door she was eating and the microwave was running. I'm not sure if that is a standard practice to take your lunch break in guest rooms but it seemed a bit off.
One other thing I think should be addressed is, the night of May 12th around 8:15pm I went down through the lobby to my car and when I was walking through, the woman who was operating the front desk was speaking to a man who appeared to be a guest of the hotel, and she was using very unprofessional language and profanities multiple times throughout the conversation that I heard just walking by. If my children were with me, I would have been very upset.
It is all such a shame because the hotel is nice, new, and clean. However, a few of the staff members were disappointing and unprofessional. We won't be able to stay at that location again because of the theft and foul language used...
Read moreOur first stay here was in April which was not good but did not give a bad review as we felt we should give them another chance. This latest experience also not very good and we will not be back again. In April we had a room booked with a king bed and a couch area. When we went to our room the guest next door had their music playing so loud even at the highest level of our tv we couldn’t hear it. I went to front desk and told them we were going to supper and would they please ask them to turn the music down. Basically the front desk team just stared at me. We went to supper, came back and the music was still as loud. Went back down asked if they talked to them and I was told no one answered the phone. I asked if anyone went up and knocked on the door? They looked at me like I was nuts and then said no. Unbelievable. I then asked for another room which they didnt have another of the same that we booked. We ended up with a double queen instead. There was a man checking in while I was at the desk and he could see the issues I was having with the front desk team. He stated he did not want the room we had. I also had to ask to be credited for the price difference. Next morning we had breakfast the gal in there was also very rude. Again we let this all go without giving a bad review. We checked in again last week. Prepaid and came just after check in. Figured we would arrive earlier and sit in the hot-tub only to find out once we get there it’s closed. Front desk team again about as unfriendly as can be. One gal said I don’t know what to tell you I only work here. The room smelled like dog urine. Next morning when checking out I asked for a credit since we weren’t notified the hot tub was down. Again front desk team had major attitude. We have learned our lesson and...
Read moreAfter two bad hotels stays two nights in a row, we were really looking forward to our stay at the Comfort Suites, especially after seeing the good reviews. Our room was clean and quiet, the AC kept the room cool enough for sleeping, the beds were comfy with plenty of pillows, and we appreciated the extra space in the room. Miss Deb, who was at the front desk last night when we checked in, was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating! Many thanks to her.☺️🌞 They seem to have a full housekeeping staff who all do a great job. So I was fully intending to leave a 5-star review, until we went down to have breakfast this morning.☹️
We got to the lobby at 8:30, a full hour before the breakfast was scheduled to end and they were out of almost everything. No scrambled eggs, no hard boiled eggs, no yogurt, no fruit, no apple juice, etc. I don't know if this was because of the time we came down, but it doesn't matter. If I come down to the lobby at 6:30 or 8:30 or 9:25, I should have the same choices as every other guest. If you advertise your breakfast as being from 6:30-9:30 (or whatever it was) then all foods should be available all the way until it ends. Also, the butter was hard as a rock and impossible to spread on the toast!
I'm not interested in your "we regret we didn't meet your expectations" blah, blah,...
