I was on the phone with a family member and she is pregnant arriving in North Platte subway in Luvs truck stop and she was waiting on the employee very kindly and patiently who was on his smoke break January 25th 2024 at 1:30am
He came into the sandwich area rolled his eyes then went straight through to the back end of the store throwing a tantrum and kicked the door so hard that it swung open and hit the back wall. It took half a minute for him to return back out to the sandwich line.
If you want to highlight customer service this isn’t the person to do it. I hope they don’t ask for hours or complain about a low paycheck making pregnant woman at 1 am feel really uncomfortable and not want to return to the store.
I believe management would have a better choice at shutting down at midnight and reopening around 5 AM instead of paying someone that treats human beings like that.
I’m curious what responsibilities this employee has on night shift. What the P and L looks like from 12-5am and if they even value their employment. Also judging by how passive aggressive they treat female customers they probably are not accountable for their actions because they’re a victim of society. Yes there can be nightmare customers but he actually scared her from wanting service because of how hard and loud he kicked the door.
There should be zero tolerance for this type of behavior. No adult should represent Subway or any professional business like this especially with a respectful customer.

Read moreI had a remarkable young lady named Maddi make me sandwiches over the last 2 days and these were my observations: Always on task: if she wasn't on the line she was at the register, if she wasn't there she was prepping in the back, when she came out front she was mopping. Never a wasted motion. Situational awareness: She was always in the right place doing the right thing. Never had to be told what to do or where to be. She told a co worker that she would wait to prep the onions until another co worker had returned from break because they had never been shown how to do so properly; so she knows how to consolidate effort and time. Upbeat and Personable: The weather had really taken a toll on my mood and overall disposition and her personality put me in a better headspace. Just a genuinely decent human being, and full of useful information! I had to get a hotel room in town, she told me the best way to get there so I wouldn't wreck! I might be crashed up right now if it wasn't for her! In closing I think she needs to be invested in heavily, whether it be an upper management training course or put in a position to travel and train others at different locations.
