One of the worst experience, one cannot trust any of the properties the owner mentions. Yes, its a forest area but are we supposed to stay with scorpions ? We booked a property for 10 people, including kids and we were told that it's super awesome and were charged $900 including cleaning. This is what we got - - House wasn't clean, used towels in the bathroom, no light, switches doesn't works. - No dustbin, no tv, no proper bed, mattress, worms, food items, ants, and insects on the sofa and beds. Broken sofa, lucky to have water. - Beds smells like bedsheets were never washed from ages. Used uncleaned oily utensils, no trash bins, no trash bags, no main trash unit outside the door, where are you supposed to throw garbage?? The list just goes on, no lights at the entrance of the property that was allocated, it was 45 mins drive, and probably was outsourced by another local vendor. Beauty of this - when we called to say that these were the problems that we faced, this idiot thought that we want our money back. Mr Hotel owner, please keep your money with you. We have a good culture to give a proper feedback to our traveler's family so no one ruins his vacation when traveling to Yosemite.

Please heed my review. Avoid this place. I'm not trying to hurt anyone's business. I'm just trying to prevent others of having their vacation ruined like we did. I called and filed a complaint with Oakhurst's Environmental Health department, after speaking with code enforcement and chamber of commerce. I have never done this before but the houses this business provides are literally not safe/healthy to stay in. -Towels not cleaned, dead bugs on them, brown stains, damp -Windows cannot close and no screens so bugs just comes in and out -Toilet backed up so stool/sewage came out into the shower floor! -Dead mouse in the middle of bathroom -Trains of ants across bathroom floor. -Dozens of dead bugs in the fridge. -No door knobs, just duct tape, over the bedroom doors. -Nuts left on the bathroom towels like a squirrel was living there?!?!? These are between 2 different houses they sent us to after we complained about the first one. When I called management again to complaine they just said, ok, what do you want then??? Like they knew but just didn't care. I have photos of all these complaints, other than the sewage because that grossed me out. Please avoid this place.

I was honestly freaked out by reading the Google map reviews, almost cancelled it, but gave a try. It was a nice surprise the room was much better than I expected. We got room#9. The room is very wide for 2 people and the ceiling is tall. The AC was fully working, though we didn't need it because it was cool enough. Maybe because of the AC fully working, the first smell was funky, but it went away after a while. Just in case, I used a Febreze as well (I'm well prepared!). The water pressure of the shower was very strong, the shower room looks recently renovated. The towels look old but cleanly washed. The bed was big, and again, looked clean. I saw no bugs. The room has a fireplace too. The funny things are that there are 2 door knobs on the bathroom door, there is no toilet holder (toilet papers are sitting on the water tank), and the several outlets are located too high to use. We could still use the outlets at the kitchen, so no problem. Still, I didn't to use the kitchen, coffee maker, microwave and the fridge because they don't look so pleasant. The freezer was filled with frost. It could be hit and miss. We are probably one of the lucky guests?

4/25-28/2024. Unsure why so many negative reviews, but I can "get" it. This is not a resort - it seems like alot of people whom left negative reviews were expecting some sort of resort type feel? When my wife and I travel we have very few needs - all of which were solidly covered here. A Warm place to sleep. Check. Hot Water. Check. (Side note: Those saying there was "No hot water in the shower" may not have realized to simply turn the on / off to the other side? Our room had one control - left was cold, right was hot). Clean Sheets and Room. Check. Bonuses such as a fridge - our room had a FULL SIZE fridge. The ability to cook if one chooses. Were welcomed here. I feel like alot of it depends on what you want from a m/hotel. This fit everything we needed. When we travel we do not sit in a hotel. We went to Oakhurst due to proximity to Mariposa Grove entrance of Yosemite. This hotel was like 15 minutes from the entrance. It was a few miles outside Oakhurst, meaning it was quiet. Our room was HUGE it felt more like a small cabin - kitchen. Huge middle area that had 2 twin beds. a full size bathroom. queen size bed in a separate bedroom and a 2nd 2/3rds bath with a sink and toilet. The view was incredible. If we spent more time in the room, we probably would've used the fireplace. But circling back - when we travel we use the m/hotel as a sleeping and keeping our place safe point. We spent a full day in Mariposa Grove and had dinner at Yosemite Lake. The next day we spent all day down in Fresno and back and forth. And then checked out early on last. This plae met everything we needed. The gentleman who checked us in was super nice and courteous. But because I do want to be "Honest" if people need to "nitpick" here are just a few things to "nitpick" -Our room had a dog door as pets are allowed here - $25 extra as of today - $100 (Rightly so) if you "forget" to tell the facility and they find out. We were going to bring our pets but Yosemite where my wife wanted to go did not allow pets so we left them with family - the "Nitpicking" would be, the dog door did open up into an unfenced area. IDK how i would feel about having left my dog here without the ability for him to stay within a fenced area. So there is 1 nitpick -there was no phone in the room - but i am unsure why this would be a problem? We have T-Mobile and we had FULL 5 Bar Service. So unsure why this would be something people would complain about in 2024? Most people have a cellular phone. -1 light switch in our room seemed to be misconnected - meaning there was an awesome dual opposite spinning fan in our middle room. But the light switch turned on and off BOTH the pot lights AND the fan. We had a remote - but the light switch controlled both. so the fan remote didn't do anything with the switch off. There was 2 light switches in the room connected to both - it feels like 1 switch should've been pot lights 1 for the fan. So nitpicking - one couldn't use JUST the fan if they wanted...

Now - here is the end all be all - do ANY of the 3 things above detract from me leaving 4 stars?!?! no. They did not.

I also wanted to mention some of the other reviews mentioned like "no wifi" - they have MULTIPLE WIFI's - meaning, a main wifi, but additional wifi's for different areas - so if you are too far away from the wifi at the main office - YES the wifi isn't going to work - but i mean cmon, they had the wifi listed with room number ranges - so if you were by the office, or in 13-17, it was pretty clear - so again like the hot water, assuming if someone is a "reactionary"; instead of taking a breath and thinking, many of the negative reviews seem to be simple misunderstandings.

They are essentially cabins in the woods north of town en route to Yosemite.

We were VERY HAPPY with this lodge. Everything was what we needed. And, if / when we do come into this area again? we will 100% have no reservations booking here again. what so ever.

Very happy. Would stay here again. Thank you Yosemite Mountain Trail...

Long paragraph BUT if anyone’s looking into details for this property here it is I booked here for a queen size bed rental & paid the total amount before arrival so I make sure it’s secured knowing im from out of town it wasn’t cheap but based off the images I seen online it looked well worth the pay. 1) I requested to check in @2pm instead of 3pm because we were heading from out of town & that time fitted well for me but they never approved or gotten back to me. 2) upon arrival we had to wait for the lady to arrive to the office (yes they’re opened) but because she was busy we had to wait it was just after 3pm after we asked if she was the on-site representative she quickly replied “yes wait” while walking to help someone else who came after us her whole demeanor was really rude & it was poor management 3) when I signed the confirmation papers she told me “oh wait I have to even see if your rooms cleaned & available yet” (it’s after my check in time) 4) she handed me the key with no explanation of the property or anything around as soon as we got to the room we tried to be positive about it but we pointed out several things wrong & the biggest being it wasn’t a queen size bedroom rental! it was a small room with a FULL size bed! it was the room right next to the office so it made was scratch our heads because looking down the hill the rest are all single level big rentals it was like she literally gave us whatever was available last minute & no it wasn’t even cleaned!!! When we got in we rushed to put the AC on cause it was so musty in there, the floor was half tile and hard wood floor I was walking barefooted & my feet got dirty right away with crumbs it was like they didn’t mop or vacuum! When I viewed the facilities on the app it describes it has a coffee machine, free toilet trees, an alarm clock, blow dryer, which non I had! The water pressure was so low when I was in the restroom or showered it was ridiculous the wall clock only clock we had wasn’t working just for looks! Underneath the bed frame was dirty socks from previous renters! There were a few white bars of soap ( which was supposed to be for my hands, body, face, and shampoo even though it wasn’t supposed too) no toothpaste and one roll of toilet paper it was beyond ghetto i couldn’t believe we got a full size dirty unprepared room rather than what I paid for when it came the sleeping the bed was so old and I just felt the springs I literally tossed all night I wanted to skip the mattress and lay on the couch but I used the white sheet for the bed to cover the couch in advance of any seating on it because it was stained beat up and dirty man I learned my lesson I knew I should’ve been (that customer) to bang for assistance and let her know every detail was wrong but we knew we just got screwed from the get go & I already paid so i would be just making a big deal and I hate to be the complaining type knowing it’ll be more drama I seriously just wanted to spend my 1 night there try to make my money’s worth & leave right in the morning so I was was just going to confront her about how the stay was when I returned my key but I didn’t had the chance too when checking out the office said open once again but no one there and door locked they have a key drop on the wall so I left it & didn’t even see her. After recapping what day I had there I did some research looking this place up on booking dot com to compares to googles website page and literally every picture looks completely different than what we had… I regret booking here and it’ll never happen again I have booked 2 nights in Yosemite before for a queen and it was so much more better luxurious for the close rather than for this 1 night place any day I hope anyone else who got gypped left a review too it was poor management all the way around & felt like it was a complete set up so glad...

· RUN! Worst ´hotel´ experience ever (and I have traveled a lot and stayed in many awful places, but this was the worst). Upon arrival we already knew we were up to a bad start. Messy and dirty reception with an non-functional computer, prescription pills right in the middle of the main desk and an open bag of chips which were laying all around that table. Even though the staff was friendly, the first shocker was when she actually came with us to our room and asked us to stay outside while she checked the inside...already a bad sign. As she entered, she rushed to clean as much as she could with a piece of toilet paper!!! seemingly ashamed herself of the state of that room. We found ourselves in a tiny, old, dark room with a gigantic bunk bed that occupied at least 3/4 of the whole space. The appliances´ cables were literally hanging from one corner. The furniture and room disposition was prehistoric and uncomfortable. The bathroom wasn´t even worthy of that name. The shower was literally a water hose hanging from above with a dirty curtain as a separator. The WC has basically been pasted to the wall with the use of some cement and they hadn´t even bothered to paint over it. The tray which held the water cooker and the coffee machine was dirty and full of a weird greenish powder that we weren´t sure whether it was dust or mold. The room had a mixture between a dusty and chemical smell and we later figured out it probably came from the fluorescent spray they had used to paint over the toilet ceiling. The worst came half an hour after entering that room. Both my partner and me started feeling an itchiness in our throats and started coughing uncontrollably. The air inside the room was unbreathable to the point were we preferred to sleep that night in the car, despite it being 2ºC outside. Even though we booked the hotel for two nights, we left immediately the day after and booked a different hotel. Curtains were completely transparent...

The place was a nightmare. I want...
