We really enjoyed our stay at the Beehive Domes! We spent two nights here for a birthday getaway, and it was a lovely experience overall. The space is very thoughtfully designed - cozy, comfortable, and perfect for a couple or even a small family with a child. The bed was super comfy, and the dome had a great balance of comfort and nature. We especially enjoyed cooking over the fire pit and playing ball in the outdoor space. A couple of small suggestions: it would be nice to have a few hooks to hang clothes and perhaps a full-size mirror or one slightly bigger than the bathroom mirror. Also, the surfaces and fridge could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly before our arrival, but given the nature-focused setting, it wasn’t a dealbreaker. The dome is well-equipped with all the necessities to make your stay comfortable. Inside, you’ll find plates, utensils, towels, dish soap, and even a push cart to help you bring your belongings from the parking area. Fire logs are conveniently available on-site for just $1 each, which made it easy for us to enjoy the fire pit without extra hassle. We stayed entertained with visits to Swallow Falls and Deep Creek Lake, played board games, and watched a movie before bed. Honestly, three days would be the perfect amount of time here! The check-in and check-out process was smooth and completely self-guided, with clear instructions provided by email. There’s also a grocery store just 10 minutes away, which was super convenient. Overall, it was a great stay, and we would definitely consider coming back. Thank you!

We visited the domes in late June. The goal of this trip was to make memories and that is just what we did. Upon arrival we pulled up and could see the domes. The parking and the domes are easily accessible. They make it easy to gather all your things out the car because each dome has it's own wagon. There are about 8 domes and each one has it's own name. We stayed in the Jameson dome. The domes have their own picnic tables and fire pits! Perfect for s'mores in the evening and breakfast in the am. I definitely felt like I was camping in the woods. You are surrounded by trees and smells of the forest. The beehive domes are tight inside. I can't imagine staying in 1 dome with more than 3 people. My niece stayed in the bunk area, which she had to climb up a ladder to get up top. My two year old and I had the full side bed. It is snug in the dome. I was happy there is a kitchenette. If you go in the summer like we did you will stock the frig with vold beverages. We were so HOT! The dome has an AC unit but it does NOT cool the dome enough in the summer. It was sweltering in the dome mid-day with the sun beating down on top of the dome. But sunset time and early morning it was cool. Also, I wish the towels, sheets, and comforter was a little more plush. The dome I stayed in could have been cleaner. It wasn't to my stsndards. The floor had hair on it. But overall, yes I would stay again. It was cute and we made great memories as a family. I am just not booking in summer...too hot!! See you in the fall.

We went for an overnight to Deep Creek Lake as a getawy for my husband for Father's Day. We like to stay someplace unque or different and when I saw these beehives in my planning, I knew this was the place. We were not disappointed. We are not campers but this idea of glamping was just right for us. |We loved the firepit. Tip 1- we did not realize there was a fire box and purchase wood before finding it. Check it out before you purchase as someone like us may have filled it with wood. Tip 2- Firepit comes with cooking grate, some grill utensils and some skewers for smores or meat. My husband loved the suana. |We loved the panoramic windows into the forest. My adult son who was traveling with us and I had a some wild imaginations of what was in the deep woods. LOL.|A kitchen area, the restroom with shower. Tip 3. The hot water tank is right there so the water starts off really really hot. The shower mechanism allows you to set the temp for the shower and we found 38 c great and 40 to hot so if you have children who would normally bath without help, this is not the shower to do that without instruction but it is a great shower. |Yes you are in a bubble of sorts. Yes, the space is limited but we had a great time. The bed was super super comfortable. Our adult son ( 6 ft) climbed the ladder to the loft and the bed there. Plenty of outlets for our elecronics. We can't wait to...
