My girlfriend, dog, and I came in late and stayed at the Mountain Trail room ahead of the Spartan Race in Lebec. Directions were very clear on how to obtain the keys, and how to get to the room. My first impressions were charming, cozy, and welcoming - one of the few places that allows dogs. It was much more than just that! I’ll explain my experience chronologically.
Unique features I noticed in the room were a fireplace with logs for use, complimentary water bottles, wood log frame bed, and charming art that I later found out is thematic to the room. I walked my dog in the morning and Diana, the Inn Keeper, greeted and invited us to her complimentary breakfast. She was very hospitable and genuine; we had a fun conversation about all sorts of stuff. It was fun to see her interact with the locals that visited. It creates a charming environment that is reflective of the tight knit community here. She also loves dogs, and really enjoyed the company of mine!
Some of the amenities were purchased from Costco, so that was familiar and it made me feel like I was at home. Usually there’s a bunch of stuff I don’t know, and I’m skeptical in using them, but this place has both!
Anyways, this place is for you if you like charming and accommodating places that allow dogs. Diana is an awesome person and worth the time to talk to. Wifi is available and the rooms have heating. Breakfast is simple and consists of bagels, yogurt, cereal, and various breakfast bars. Coffee and tea too. If you’re looking for eggs and other hot foods, there are...
Read moreThe location is a perfect get-away from the city, and still be connected to the world. In the neighborhood, there is a local bakery, an Irish pub, an upscale Italian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a general merchandise store, a pizza place, a gas station, a Fire Station and a golf course. The Star Room, which was a free upgrade given to us by the bubbly innkeeper Diana, was well-stocked with standard hotel amenities. There is a ceiling fan, a built-in electric heater and a fireplace. There is Keurig coffee maker with on-the-house K-cups of coffee and tea and couple of bottle water, also on-the-house - free. There is a sliding glass door that gives you a view of the immediate surrounding and the access to the veranda with its 5-piece table set with umbrella. The window and the sliding door is decorated with two layers of curtains, a sheer white cloth and a light-dimming heavy drapery. There's a free WiFi access and a Direct TV. A nice place to stay for a quick weekend vacation. Highly...
Read moreTalk about hospitality! I had such a wonderful stay at the Pine Mountain Inn this weekend. This charming cabin style hotel has rooms that are decorated uniquely different from one another. The views from the balcony were spectacular as me and my guest took in the beautiful starry night. Our in room coffee maker was coupled with a variety of coffee choices. I've never seen that before! The gorgeous fireplace gave the room a majestic feel and I sincerely wish it would have been cold enough to light! Next door there is a quaint restaurant called "The Hideaway," that offers indoor and outdoor dining plus live bands on the weekends. As hotel guests we had the opportunity to get a pass to visit the new larger pool at The Clubhouse. It was so invigorating on such a hot day! The new owners spared no expense with a complimentary bottle of wine chilling in our room to enjoy upon arrival. Needless to say, we will...
