I stay here 1-2 times a month on business. Housekeeping staff needs to calm down. It’s not even 9:30 AM on a Thursday morning. I’m on a business call in my room that started at 8:45 and housekeeping has already knocked on my door twice to try to get in and clean it. This seems to be the typical experience here. What is the point of having a door hanger if the staff disregards it?
The good parts- the breakfast lady is so sweet and welcoming. I love the lemon water jugs, always fill my water bottle here. My room is always clean and the hotel is in good shape all around. I believe they have recently new linens, the sheets and towels are good quality. Plenty of parking, easy to find. The pool is a little cold but not terrible. There’s a cute little pond with a walking path in the backyard.
The stuff that isn’t the hotel’s fault but people should know: restaurants in this town close VERY early. You need to make decisions about dinner by 7pm or you will find your options limited. After 9pm you’ll be stuck with gas station pizza. Plan ahead. Nearby Sioux Center has more options for...

Location Easy to find in an excellent location on the edge of town. Walking distance from a few restaurants and the local movie theater.
Building & Rooms Lobby and breakfast area were clean and modern. As with most Hampton’s there was a small snack shop with a good selection of hot and cold items. Breakfast was great with a variety of choices each morning.
Pool was typical for the hotel size and located right next to the elevators. Pool area was clean with a rest room attached. Only concerns were the lack of a hot tub and a limited supply of towels next to the pool on both stays at the hotel.
Room quality was excellent. The only issue experienced is that one of the rooms did not have a functional outlet/charger port next to the TV.
Staff & Service Probably one of the friendliest staffs I’ve experienced at a Hampton in recent years. Staff were knowledgeable about the local area and happily provided recommendations.

Read moreWe stayed at the Orange City Hampton Inn for over a month due to our home basement collapsing due to a rain storm. We had a large yellow labrador retriever and were welcomed on arriving in the evening of the storm. Throughout our stay, staff was extremely helpful and hospitable, Everyone---management and desk staff who answered our MANY questions, housekeeping (who cleaned our room at times when we could get the dog out) and kitchen staff (loved the breakfasts)--were so friendly and the stay here made it easier for us to cope with our rebuilding. We had great breakfasts in the morning which kept up satisfied throughout the day. And anytime we asked for something, the staff assisted us. Our dog adjusted well to the stay --I think she misses it!! Thanks so much for everything!!! We highly recommend this...
