Family Dollar — Local services in Orange City

I usually don’t leave reviews on Google Maps, but today I made an exception. I've visited this Dollar Tree several times, but my recent experience has been disappointing.

The staff was very friendly and chatty with the customers ahead of me, but when it was my turn, her attitude changed. She didn't speak to me, only scanned my items, told me the total, and waited for me to pay. She stared at me when I was paying, then left the counter immediately after I paid without a word. I stood there, confused, and took the receipt from the machine. I looked at her back while she walked away. Then she turned and gave me that look. I looked at her, wondering what it meant. It felt like she wanted to make sure I received the unwelcoming vibe from her. I probably wouldn’t leave this review if she didn’t intentionally give me that look. I would just assume that Dollar Tree lets their customers take their own receipts even it’s not a self-checkout counter. This staff’s cold attitude and hostility made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. I don't want to come to the conclusion that she was being racist, but that’s indeed the first word that came to my mind.

When Dollar Tree opened in this area, I was happy to have a new store to shop at, but after this experience, I will not...

Saw an item on sale, decided I wanted it. Took it to the counter, they scanned it and told me the system had 'pennied it out' and they took the item and threw it in the trash, refusing to let me purchase it, or even leave with it. Neither one of the stores are full size, I guess you would say. They only carry a partial amount of what they carry in the full stores. Don't get me wrong, having even these two stores is better than not having...
