Absolutely horrible experience. Came on Monday before 4th of July holiday. Paid through Friday morning. 3 tents, 3 cars, 6 people and 2 more who joined later. On Monday asked camp host if they had help to blow up an air mattress because our pump died. Woman camp host was BEYOND rude. Today 7/3 we were leaving early as it was very cold at night and someone brought a baby that screamed all night long the night before. Part of our group did want to stay however. Male camp host REFUSED to allow that saying site was non transferable, and because we had notified them the person whose name the site was paid for by was leaving, our friends would need to pay an additional fee to use the site if we left. Male camp host proceeded to argue with me, became rude, yell loudly (I am deaf and naturally loud, which he felt the need to belittle me over) said he would be calling the police if we attempted to leave and allow our friends to stay at the site, and was beyond belligerent. I attempted to walk away from him and the situation to which he confronted me by continuing to attempt to instigate the situation and have me yell even more. In the 3 days we were there the camp hosts (Male and female) did absolutely nothing. They drove by 2x and saw the trash was full and bathrooms were disgusting, but apparently they were off on Monday and Tuesday so those things were not their responsibility (I was told this today when he yelled at me) After walking away from his arguing my friend apparently was able to get him to act like a civilized human being and in the end they allowed my friends to stay. Absolutely unbelievable that you leave the city to get away from this nonsense only to find it at a camp ground with a couple who are clearly on a power trip. Will absolutely NEVER return here as long as these two are camp "hosts". I did not come up there to camp for the weekend to spend my time getting in a shouting match with some dude who lives in a trailer at the top of a mountain. Ain't nobody got...
Read moreThis campground was a delight! We went at the end of march and there were a few inches of snow on the ground AT the campsite, not on the roads. There is a campfee at the entrance billboard, with envelopes and a tear off voucher(to put on the car dashboard) for validation of payment and a drop box to deposit the fee. The spot we set up our tent was an added convenience. Delegated spot for the tent, picnic table with a fire pit, grills to use, parking and a significant area for our family to enjoy. Far enough from the other camping spots for privacy. The restrooms were unfortunately closed, so bring extra bags and toilet paper. Dogs are welcome just as long as they are on a leash. There a big blue dumpsters near the entrance, no trash cans. The site is beautiful, with a hiking trail right next to the campground. You can walk or drive, and there is designated parking in front of the hiking trail. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and I am excited to return...
Read moreBeautiful campground and great escape from the city! Would be lovely to have some showers, but overall very well maintained campground and friendly host. The only downside is that we were harassed by the new guests coming in. My paperwork stated checkout was at 1pm, but around 11am the next guy came in asking how we got the site and no one told him it was vacant. I guess he is a regular and the host had already changed the reservation sign to his name. He seemed pleasant and told us he would give a little time to leave. Then comes in his friends telling us that we need to move. I offered to show her our paperwork, but she was passive aggressive and didn’t want to see it. Finally a third visit and we were out. Was a great night up until we then. Maybe not change over the reservation details onsite until check in officially begins at 2pm according to...
