I wish I could just say you get what you pay for but this place wasn't cheap. We wanted to like it and I think 3 stars is a generous rating. (Check my reviews, I rarely leave less than 5 stars). There was good and bad, and I don't want to sound like a whining baby so I will only list the major highlights in the order in which they occurred: Upon arrival, our room smelled like an ashtray and they quickly moved us to a new room. The 2nd room smelled fine but the water in the sink, shower, toilet, and heart-shaped tub all ran brown. They blamed the well-water. Possibly, nobody had used that room for some time but I wonder why they did not run the water before we got there. We ran the water for 30 or 40 minutes until it looked OK although we brushed out teeth with the bottled water and filled the coffee maker with the bottled water because we were afraid to drink the water from the tap. I filled/drained, then filled again with soap, water, and drained the tub again but I couldn't convince my wife to get into it. She turned out to be right because after it drained (and after I foolishly used it), there was so much sludge at the bottom it was sickening. I will try to attach a photo to this review. We were offered an upgraded room but when we checked it out, there were cobwebs and spiders hanging inside the bedroom, so we opted to stay where we were with the promise of a deep-cleaning and flushing of the tub and other water lines. By Dinner time we returned to the room and saw that had not occurred so we complained and someone did finally clean the tub by the time we returned Saturday evening. I still could not convince my wife to get into the tub (which did, in fact, look clean) and it turns out she was right (again). After I got out and drained the tub, there was almost as much sludge as from the night before. Sickening. We did not bother complaining again.

The social activities were fun and Patrick, the event coordinator was nice. We enjoyed our time in the lounge, the trivia/cornhole games, etc., the band we saw was good, the magician put on a good show, the bar and the food in the bar was good, and the bartenders were all pleasant.

For Friday night's dinner, there were no "real" vegetarian options on the menu although they had told us when we booked that there would be. By "real" I mean something other than ordering a pasta/chicken dish and saying "hold the chicken." There was no vegetarian soup. My vegetarian pasta dish was served with chicken and while I waited for it to be re-made, my wife's food got cold. We walked out of the dinner and ate at the bar instead.

Saturday morning, we were disappointed with the breakfast options and were comparing notes with two other couples that we overheard complaining about their dining experiences. The head chef, Jeff, actually came out to apologize. He told me my waiter should have offered to have the chef make something for me when I told him I was a vegetarian. He promised that the next dinner would be better. We did not find out, though, because we opted to eat our next dinner outside the resort rather than risk further disappointment. Sunday's breakfast was actually better - we overheard the staff advising people that they could order "off" the buffet and they did actually make me something special for breakfast. So, some kudos to Jeff. Also, the wait staff and hostess staff were all pleasant.

Overall, the facility is charming but dated. We could not hear or see our neighbors, so it's very private. The staff is mostly friendly and pleasant. The included meals (which do not cost an arm and a leg to add-on) would probably be good enough to satisfy most people but if you have any special requests (vegetarian, vegan, gluten, dairy, etc.) you might want to opt for eating outside the resort. If you have any intention of using the heart-shaped tub or pool in your room, we don't recommend it - and that was one of the main selling points for us. Maybe once business picks up and the rooms are used more often, the water becomes less...

I booked a couples vacay at Paradise Stream Resort from 08/17/2020-08/21/2020 for my gf and I to stay in the Champagne Tower Suite. Booking our stay was easy. Her birthday was on the 19th so this was my gift to her. We stay in Atlanta, GA and drove 13 hours to have this getaway and avoid flying during the pandemic. Check in was easy when we arrived. All the staff we encountered at the resort was very friendly. When we got to the room, it was beautiful just like in the photos online. Now to share what I liked and didn't like about our stay... Customer service was great. The all-inclusive package is worth it unless you are the type of person who wants to go out and eat amongst the locals all the time. The dining area is nice and they spaced the tables out over 6 feet from each other. I do think they should have an option for guests to eat in the suite/ or outside during the pandemic. Every time we were in the dining area someone was coughing. Some of the people there were cigarette smokers so they probably just coughed anyways, but it still made us uncomfortable. For the record, my gf loved breakfast there because she doesn't eat pork and they have an option to get turkey bacon or turkey sausage. The breakfast was ok to me but would have been better if the food that should be hot was hot. Dinnertime was always awesome. The food was delicious and gave many options to choose from for an entrees. The alcoholic beverages were not apart of the all-inclusive package but they were still worth buying. They were not skimpy on the liquor at all! On her birthday I ordered some Happy Birthday balloons and a red velvet cake they sold at the resort. The cake was delicious. Ok so a few things that disappointed me... I always bring my own cleaning supplies to clean the tub, wipe surfaces, etc. This time was no different. Upon inspecting our room, I noticed dry rose petals on the floor near the tv stand and under the bed. I assumed they were from the previous guest which let me know the cleaning people didn't vacuum the room well. We ended up bringing our own pillows thankfully because 2 of theirs didn't look so clean. One looked like make up was on it and the other just needed to be trashed because of a dirt stain on it. We found one of the towels the same way. I know that when you have something crisp and white, then it gets dirty once, even after you wash it may still have that dirt stain there. In that case, the staff just needs to trash that towel and replace it with a crisp white one. Our beautiful private heart-shaped pool had mold in the corner above the water that I wiped off with an antibacterial wipe. The cleaners should have spotted that. The massage table was nice and so was the sauna. I did my own personal cleaning to the jacuzzi (Champagne Tower) so I was fine getting in. My gf is more of a romance person so it didn't take much to please her during our stay. I, on the other hand am an activities person. I play tennis 3 days a week regularly and was looking forward to playing tennis at the resort. Unfortunately, there was caution tape around the court entrance and when I asked about it they said it is closed because of some holes that need to be repaired. We found some courts about 18 min away but um, we weren't very welcome there. That's another story I wont get into but should've been avoided. Anyways, we opted into playing basketball. We could only play on one hoop because the other hoop looked like a 500 pound person slam dunked and hung on to the rim for 5 min after. At the time of our visit, they were waiving the resort fees which saved me money but in all honesty, I would have happily paid the resort fee if the activities were in pristine condition for use. Other than that, we hiked the nature trail 2x and I took my gf to some nearby thrift stores because that's what she likes. All in all, this experience was good but definitely...

We stayed for New Years 2023 weekend into 2024. Friday night and leaving Tuesday. The staff was all great. TJ and Jess were our servers at most meals and both were very fast and hard working considering how busy it was. I'm not sure if it was bc of new years weekend but the food was impressive for resort food, especially since it was included. The crab cakes were delicious, and stuffed chicken breast with a Dijon sauce were our favorite meals. We stayed in a champagne suite, although dated, which we expected from previous reviews, the bathroom had been updated. The round bed with the flickering star lights over it was a nice feature. The heart shaped pool was the perfect size for a pool floatie and some noodles. We enjoyed it very much. Seeing the white wall in pictures before we came we brought a projector and watched movies in the pool room, It was great! The champagne tub was the perfect size for someone 6ft 3in. The sauna was a nice touch but we didn't use it much. The entertainment and comedians were so good. I've been to other resorts and the live entertainment does not even come close to what was provided this weekend. Musicians playing at tables during dinner and taking requests was very nice. The bands all had great talent. The activities at the resort were plenty. We used the game room for bowling and the bar to sit by the indoor fire. There is also an outdoor fire. We didn't do the putt putt or any of the other activities bc we were enjoying our room and the nearby cities and shops. Our stay was awesome and just what we expected! The food was way better than expected as I read many reviews beforehand. You can't go in expecting a brand new resort. This place has a lot of history and the fact it is still surviving after many Pocono closures, great job on being able to stay open. I can't imagine the water bills, propane bills, and chlorine cost to keep everything up to par!

Now for some suggestions for slight improvements:

We lit a special duraflame log as directed, laid a sheet out in front of the fire and about 10 min. Into the act I'm laying on my back in a very vanilla position and realized the whole room was covered in smoke....no smoke detector going off, nothing. We checked it later the batteries were dead. 7 Aquafina bottles of water later we put our fire out, opened the door and hoped the smoke would escape so you wouldn't find us dead from C02 poisoning the next day. Although I understand the pink paint is necessary to keep the tubs looking good and fresh but there was a dried paint point bubble or something and my butt Crack slid across it perfectly slicing my Crack open letting the chlorine pool sting the rest of the weekend. Lesson learned don't slide around in the tub, but maybe just smooth those paint globs out a bit. I like vegetables, I like them a lot but greenbeans and carrots for the veggies option for 4 dinners straight can even make a bean lover want something else. Although good, maybe some cauliflower. The same for the soup option. It just makes you wonder what has been re-heated from the day before. The hot water or water in general was a mystery to me. We tried to fill the big tub early during the day and the water was not even Luke warm but every evening if we tried to fill it the water was piping hot. One morning I went to wash my hands and no water came out of the bathroom sink but an hour later it was fine. Showering in the morning or before 5pm the water was barely warm but every evening it was fine. The pressure would come and go at any point during the day.

Besides those few improvements we had a great stay. We loved the...

Let me first start off by saying this was a nightmare of my life. Booked Paradise Stream Resort for a birthday celebration for myself and husband and canceled my stay the same day!! This is false advertisement! The pictures and the videos that you see online are from years ago and photo shopped. Arrived at the property on a Monday and when we first pulled into the property looking at the sign and grounds we had a bad feeling. We seen a little area with a basket ball hoop that looked like it was from target/walmart for children aged 4 yrs. The grounds were not up kept and looked abandoned. I went to check in at the main building and it looked very old.The lady at check in was in a very old phone and alarms kept going off that she had to stop. A lot of elderly people were lined up waiting to get in for dinner. We checked in and went to the room then all hell broke loose! As soon as my husband opened the door we were hit with a smell that smelled like an old folks nursing home mixed with mildew. We decided to keep our belongings in the car and check out the room first which I’m glad we did. When enters the room and it was something out of horror movie. It’s was so old and you can immediately see that it was abandoned. The room was full of dust, mold, dead bugs, old cracked and peeling furniture. It was more like a haunted house. The bathroom smelled awful with mold and dirt all over. The mirrors were cracked and some type of black stuff all over it. The carpet was old, smelly and dirty. The pool in the room was small and not as advertised. It’s was cracks all around and It could barely fit me and my husband. My children’s pool is bigger than the pool they have in the room. The hot tub was old as well. A dead fly was on the wall and everything was nasty and dusty. I was so creepy out I started itching and braking out in hives. I immediately went back to check in and let them have it. I demand a full refund at which the lady told me she was going to talk the manager to give me a upgrade. I went off again and told her I refuse to stay at this property and I’m going to need a full refund now! She then proceeded to get the manager at time I was trying to show him the pictures of the room at which he refused to look. He then told me I didn’t have to make a sense because he he didn’t want the other elderly couple to know how nasty and disgusting it was. After I refused to calm down because I was extremely upset that we drove three and a half hours there just for them to ruin my birthday he gave me a full refund. I ran out of that place and ended up driving a hour and a half to my in-laws because it was no way I was staying there! Nothing about this place is “Paradise” it’s more like Elderly Haunted Home House. We didn’t see any younger couples there and that was a alarm. This place looked like it was here before I was born with no updates. I was so terrified I didn’t want to try the sister property Cove Haven. The nerve of this company to charge over a grand and trick people into taking their hard earned money to in return give them this awful experience. They ruined my birthday and I regret ever booking here. This is a warning for anyone looking to stay at this place don’t! Please save yourself and look for something worth it. Nothing about this place is Paradise Resort!
