This motel is HORRIBLE!! I went there to see someone that was staying there. The second I walked into the room, I could smell the mildew and mold in the room. The sheets, towels, rugs, ect.. ||were all nasty and stained. They smelled as bad as the room did. If you stay there more then a day straight, house keeping doesn't even show up every day. There was a huge amount of ants that were infested behind the dresser (thousands of them!) that the tv was on. I moved the dresser and found lots of trash under it. (We reported the bug infestation to the office and no measures were taken by them to fix the problem!)I cleaned the dressers and end tables my self, and the rag I used was stained yellow and black when I was finished. There is only one small office sized trash can in the main room but it was to small and there was no other trash can there. Not even in the bathroom. The bathroom has really bad plumbing with the toilet not flushing properly everytime. There are no blinds in the bathroom window, so any one in the buildings across from the bathroom window has a clear view of people from the waste up, showering, changing, ect.. There are light see through curtains on the window, but even those were dingy with cigarette burns on them. If you ever stay here make sure you are up to date with all you shots as well as expect to get a shot...
Read moreI had written a review on this very same hotel, and I lets just say I was displeased in my last review. I didnt plan on returning but due to a bit of miscommunication I ended up at the Newbury street Inn again. The second I walked into the room adsigned to me I couldn't believe the difference. I hadnt taken more then 2 steps through the door and was already pleasntly surprised at the changes that were made. The newly revivated room smelt clean, the carpets looked brand new, the sheets bright white and clean, as well as the furniture shinning, polished, and clean. I could go on and on with the changes. This place has gone and done a complete turn around. The very next day I was walking out to my car and was met by a very nice lady named Debbie. She was extremely welcoming and had answered the questions I had about why or how this place got to be so much more pleasent to stay at. She had informed me that she and her husband had recently purchased the hotel. She let me know about the new management and how things will still continue to get better. If your in or visiting anywhere around Peabody MA and you want a really nice room to stay in while your in the area, and if you want a great price on a room to rent then I urge you...
Read moreHad room 6 booked for Friday April 26th to Sunday April 28th. Drove from Connecticut walked into the office to check to be told that the people who stood in the room the night before paid to stay another night. No call ahead to tell me this morning or at all. I guess the guy was just waiting for me to show up to tell me. Office smells like they emptied a gallon of febreeze to cover up the smell of cigarettes. Man didn’t even know how to tell me that the room was not ready and still booked the way he explained it was beating around the bush. Save your money, save your time; plenty of other places nearby worth the extra few bucks. Update : just saw the reply you guys gave and it has no correlation to what I stated. I booked over the phone and you guys knew exactly who I was when I entered the office asking to check in. I asked when I can do the payment and you guys said upon check in just like most PROFESSIONAL hotels or places do for guest but instead you choose to give a...
