We stayed as a part of a large group who had booked several rooms and we checked in at different times. I didn't find the clerk at the desk very helpful at check in. She handed me the cards to the room and that was about it. I'm guessing that perhaps a family manages the facility or maybe owns it as a franchise because at one point I saw what appeared to be the grandfather come out from the back into the lobby and was walking around in his bare feet.
Our room was okay, and was clean for the most part. It just seemed like things needed some updating. The bathroom was clean but the shower water pressure left a lot to be desired. The rooms are not very sound proof as we heard crying children from the room next to us in the middle of the night. There is a refrigerator/freezer in the room but the freezer was very frosty and had dirty ice particles in it. The beds were comfortable enough but the biggest gripe I had with our room was the temperature, and other people in our group who stayed in different rooms said the same thing. The hallway of our floor was very warm (too warm), yet the thermostat on the cooler unit said it was 62. When turned on, the A/C unit made a loud squeal until I kind of pounded it with my fist and it stopped. But we could never get the temperature just right in that room and one time of the night I was freezing cold and a short time later I would be sweating.
I didn't have a chance to try the breakfast, but it seemed pretty run of the mill for a place like this. There were breads and waffle makers, but not as large as some places I've stayed.
The location is great if you are needing a place to stay right off the freeway and hop back on it the next morning. It is right next door to a gas station/travel center. If you are staying to go do stuff in Brigham City then you might want to consider something a little closer to town as this one is several miles from town. Overall I would recommend staying here only if there are no other options in...
Read moreI stayed here for one night since most other hotels in the area, were booked or in the opposite direction I was going at the time. This is the pricest $$$ Day's Inn thus far, I have stayed at in over a dozen and half DI's I have lodged at in the past year. I have stayed at BW's for less.. Or Choice Hotel's and Holiday Inn's for less as well, but it was okay, quiet and next to the freeway and nice views from the window.
The bed was comfy, I needed to sleep more, but couldn't and breakfast was not a lot, skimpy and underdone for a Day's Inn, disspaointed in that and was not adequate. It was on the cheaper side of what I expected for the price and size of hotel and I felt rushed to leave the room, since housekeeping waiting. Wyndham Diamond Member needed to be recognized and it was not or asked.
There were too many broken things like and "out of order" sign on the restrooms and no A/C, heat going in the hallways. Elevator's are nice though. The evening staff at check-in was very pleasant to deal with and the morning staff lady was nice. Family run hotel and the lobby was modern and nice. Overall, not to bad, hot water and wifi both worked without issue. Not enough outlets for charging electronics and no Hotel directory or book on the room desk, all.Day's Inn I have stayed at before have them, and pool and hot tub...
Read moreSleep in your car! I have been staying at Wyndham properties from Oregon to Michigan and back again... This is the worst! It looks OK at first... The plumbing barely works in the shower, the TV has a locked volume which you can't hear from 2 feet in front of it and even if you could, the tv freezes up and you can't do anything except unplug and try again! The air conditioning seems to have maybe thermostat problems? The compressor just turns off and on.. keeping u up.. what else?... someone had punched the bathroom door causing damage, the carpeting is a trip Hazzard, yikes! I did go down to the front desk and point this out with photos and video. I said , "I just need a fan so I can block out the noise and sleep." I did get a fan and was told these were "new" problems.. Then I did some research. They aren't.. I could of overlooked all of this.. except after 2 hours of sleep, I was woke up by things biting me... I'm still pretending I was attacked by sesame seeds... from a hamburger I didn't eat... I got half a refund and made friends with the night manager.. she's tried 4 times to buy a universal remote at Walmart to fix the tv situation.. Wyndham says there's nothing they can do... and after a really dangerous sleep deprived drive I've made it to Oregon in a nice clean non Wyndham property... hope...
