Super 8 by Wyndham Perry — Hotel in Perry

We stayed here for one night due to our son being in a Oklahoma/Texas shootout baseball tourney. It was held in Stillwater and this was the only place that had a room avail. You can tell when you pull in it is very dated. Once you enter it was ok. I will not say it was clean by no means. We got two rooms and the first room was pretty dated and needs some repairs and updates done to it as well as it could’ve been a lot cleaner. I clean houses for a living and the cleanliness of this room would not meet my standards. There were lots of spider webs and dust bunnies all over the room. Hairs on and around the sink. A few ants in the bathroom. The toilet paper roll was almost completely empty. The linens were clean for the most part with some stains on them but the towels in the bathroom smelled of old grease. Also the chair in our room had a lot of stains on it and needed to be replaced. The second room we had for our family to room in was a little bit nastier. There was stuff all down the side of the bed. Both rooms smelled really musty as well. The second room had a couch and it was all stained up and was not a fold out sleeper either. For a one night stay just to catch a few hours of sleep before having to be back at the ball fields it was ok. We live over an hour away and couldn’t see driving back home and back to Stillwater that early with little sleep. Probably won’t stay here again unless we have no other option. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was pretty quiet. However, there are a few things that need fixed. We had to pay $10 for a rollaway bed which usually isn’t a big deal, but when we opened it the sheets were dirty…talked to the staff was nice about it, apologized, and they brought us a “new” one. My son said you could feel the bars in it and the springs didn’t support the thin mattress very well…plus there was something on the blanket….didn’t try a third time. The bed was a little firm for my taste, but I know some people prefer a firm mattress. The room is definitely dated (stained carpet, chipped paint, chipped counter, stained up lounge chair, etc) and their “continental breakfast” was extremely limited (though it may be because we were there after 8AM and it’s over at 9AM) all we saw was some cereal, bread, a few prepackaged honey buns, some prepackaged waffles, and instant oatmeal. Perhaps having some fresh fruit, yogurt, or even some type of eggs would have been better? Overall the staff was super friendly and very helpful when needed and the price was affordable. I went there last Wednesday October 30, 2024 during a huge storm. When you’re pulling into their location, it looks like there are lights on. I just figured they had a generator. We get up to the top of the room and there’s no electric. There is no AC. My children were scared. Couldn’t feed my kids anything couldn’t use the fridge. So I asked the manager there if I could leave and get a refund and he said yes It shouldn’t be a problem. I called to find out. He’s the one who makes a decision and refunds. I just called to see where the refund was and he said because they had to clean the room. He said that he never told me we were getting refunded and he was there the night of the storm. However, my mother and father were there because they picked us up because how about the storm was and they heard it also.

I would not recommend this place to anybody!
