Exceptionally Good Food! We eat a lot of Mexican food out! Our preference is to stay away from the large chain restaurants and try to find the smaller top quality restaurants. This is one! The restaurant is very easy to access off I-35 at the Perry exit. The picture of the Molcajate alone convinced me to give the Mariachi Mexican Grill a try. We had that (the Molcajate) and the Mariachi Special. Both meals were absolutely wonderful! The seasoning and flavors were perfect. Go to the back page of their menu and chose from their Mariachi Specials list. The Molcajate comes with a mild grilled pepper, so be sure to order a chili toreado to go with the meal. Chips and salsa is included in the meal. Ask for the hotter salsa and the pico de gallo. The pico de gallo was different than any I have ever had. Instead of tomatoes it was mixed with brown sauce. I am not sure if it was adobo or a mole, but it went very well with the chips and other salsa. The very friendly wait staff said that their Pollo Hawaiano was another of their best-selling specialty dishes. Some of the very best Mexican food we had ever eaten. Their full menu can be found on their Facebook page. If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection "Jalapeno Highway" on Yelp. I've...

Love this restaurant!! Best Mexican food in Perry. I like a salsa that I can eat buckets of (you know, one that you are not going to feel the next day) Mariachi has that kind of salsa. Huge variety on menu! Large portions. In fact, I can usually make two meals out of my order. They also are very good about fulfilling any special requests you have. I am VERY finicky, and I am the worst about changing up the menu. They never bat an eye. However you want it, they make it. So if you have food restrictions I'm sure they can accommodate. I know they have vegetarian options as well because I had a friend get the vegetarian fajitas and she loved them! From the outside it may not look like a place you would stop at if exiting the highway. It is just a little hole in the wall. But I promise, if you are traveling and need a dinner break, this is the place to stop. They also...

This place is amazing!!!!!!! We came across this place by accident. My son wanted to go to braums and right next door is mariachi Mexican grill. if you are vegetarian, ask to see the menu because they have a whole selection of vegetarian options all in one place. This is amazing restaurant quality food that you can get in the Drive-Thru.we were on a road trip from Texas to South Dakota and I'm so glad that we came across this place. they should have chains of this restaurant Hall across Texas because they would do amazing. Texans love Mexican food! This is by far the best Mexican food I have had. We will be stopping through here every single road trip that we can! They really should consider chain restaurants all across Texas. I looked it up when I got homehoping they would have another one nearby but I don't see any others. I highly recommend...

If you’re on I-35, passing through Perry, this is a great place to eat. We started with their beef dip which was great. In addition to the standard salsa, they had 2 other spicier salsas that had amazing flavor. These salsas will drain your sinuses but aren’t so spicy that you can no longer taste your meal. What looks like finely diced carrot is actually habanero pepper so just be aware: they are spicy salsas. I had a combo plate with a tostada, burrito, and enchilada. I really enjoyed the queso sauce and how they prepared the meat. The sides of rice and beans were also good. Mrs. Flip Out tried the chimichanga and really liked it. Little Flip Out loved his taco. Definitely great Mexican food at Mariachi Mexican Grill and you will enjoy your meal.

My experience is very different from what I expected from the reviews. Let's start off with the portion of my huevos con chorizo... My initial thought was, "Did I order off the kid's menu?" Surely not though for almost $9. Secondly, the chorizo tasted like that Cacique junk you can buy at Walmart. Thirdly, I was never asked if I needed a refill or anything the entire time. Instead, my server spent the majority of his time on his cellphone. To top it all off, I waited for what seemed like an eternity to get my check. I noticed a customer beside me receive his check (and a pen) and sign his name on it, so I waited only to be told I had to go to the front to pay. An overall irritating, confusing and disappointing experience.
