We chose this place because it has a golf course and we got a killer deal online that was half of all the others we were considering. We didn't know what to expect. First, the place is immaculate. We stayed in a two bed unit with a kitchenette. It had everything we needed. You can also request a skillet and cockpot. There's a nice pool, laundry, BBQ grills, games, movies and golf. We were especially impressed with the cleanliness of everything. The bbq grills were so clean they looked new. The games included pool toys, horseshoes, ping pong, large sized connect4, corn hole and golf (all are free except the golf). They have a 4 page list of movies you can borrow. Or bring your own Blu-ray movies. You can't stream using their equipment, but we brought a hdmi cord to connect to our phone and used the phone to steam to the TV. There isn't housekeeping during your stay unless you pay for that. We liked that no one was coming into our room. The back patio was cute. We could watch the golfers go by. We had an issue with the jet tub not working and black stuff came out of them when we tried to use it. I assume they'll fix that. Due to incorrect communication with the front desk, we missed playing golf during this stay. We had told them we wanted to play and were never told they'd be closed at any time during our time. It would have been nice to know that so we could have adjusted our schedule. The cart guy Marcus was really helpful. He drove us to our unit a few times. I can see that it would be a hassle for those in the southern units. They offer the cart service for free. You need only text or call for a ride anywhere on the property. We ended up playing at McCormick Ranch golf courses. They were also lovely. Lastly, we were able to text for anything we needed. It was a wonderful option. Oh, and it's...

Are you looking for a place to stay in the Phoenix area that is adjacent to a golf course? If you want more space than the typical hotel provides and a golf course that is steps away from your room, then you should consider staying at the Orange Tree Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.||I stayed at this resort with my fiancé for a few days. I had timeshare points to use and this resort had available space, so we booked the trip. The first thing I noticed and liked was the friendliness and helpfulness of the resort staff. They filled us in on the resort and what it offers, without being pushy, and one of their people even gave us and our luggage a ride to our room, on a golf cart. ||The rooms at Orange Tree Resort are spacious, with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. With the kitchen, there is a full- size refrigerator, microwave, and dishes but no stove or dishwasher. The bathroom is a good size, with a large, long shower, perfect for you and your mate. There is a back patio, too, but it’s not private- the guests next door are right there, in open view, if they happen to be sitting outside at the same time as you. ||They have a nice pool at this resort, and the vending machines are stocked with beverages, at very low prices, which was a pleasant surprise. There is a bar and restaurant, but the hours are irregular so don’t be surprised if you visit and find that it’s not open. And, as mentioned before, there is the golf course, right there, waiting for you to take a swing. ||Overall, we found the Orange Tree Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona to be a good place for a short getaway. They don’t charge extra for parking, which is a plus, and the overall comfort of the facilities meets or exceeds most of my standards. It’s a nice resort to stay at, in this...

Pretty solid option in north part of Scottsdale. Every room is a large suite with a well equipped kitchen, fridge, microwave, etc., but no dishwasher. Layout of the property is a bit problematic as the front desk is a pretty long walk from most of the buildings, and the parking lot near the buildings was full for the whole time we were there. Front desk clerk when we checked in relatively late on a Saturday night wasn't very welcoming, but that was the only hiccup service-wise. Also the restaurant forgot about our salad order while we were waiting outside, but she was very apologetic and they were understaffed for sure. Pool is pretty nice with a hot tub and a decent size, 4.5' deep pool. No lifeguard and most deck chairs were occupied, so I could see it getting pretty full on some weekends. Walking around part of the golf course in the evening when all the golfing was done felt safe and was enjoyable, and the drinks at the bar weren't too bad in price and quality. This part of Scottsdale is close to a lot of good shopping like the Kierland center and avoids the party scene of old town Scottsdale. There isn't much that's truly walkable from the resort but the parking lot seemed safe and there are security guards on staff. Overall a good choice for a resort experience without the crazy resort prices and certainly better than a typical 3 star hotel value in nicer parts of the Phoenix area.
