I went to stay at The Palace at Bear Creek Crossing for a company retreat. It was a TERRIBLE experience from the start:||- Despite not being rented out the night before, the cabin still wasn't ready at 4 p.m. as they told us it would be. The cleaners finished 10 minutes to 4 p.m. and we had to wait nearly an HOUR for an inspector to come let us in the cabin, meaning half of the company was stuck at the gate as we didn't get the gate code or building code until inspection was complete. It delayed our meeting. Oh, and we had requested early check-in multiple times. You can see that the request was ignored completely.||- I woke up the next morning at 7:20 a.m. to WATER dripping ON ME. It had run through the ceiling and was a steady drip on the blanket right at my chest. Thankfully, it slowed, but I switched rooms.||- The fire alarm went off without reason at 7:30 a.m. Glad I was woken up by the water instead.||- That morning, we realized the heat wasn't working on the bottom floor where I and three others were staying. It had dropped overnight to 60 degrees. That coming night was supposed to be about 30 degrees, so you can see how we were concerned. I called for a maintenance request which was going to take 2-4 hours for them to even come out to check what was going on. Upon returning to the cabin, I had to call again to see if they even showed up. They did, and it turns out the heater was broken so they had to wait to replace this. BUT they didn't even communicate that to me and wouldn't have if I didn't call. YIKES. I asked for space heaters and after taking time to check the lady on the phone told me they would send three extra space heaters with maintenance in about two hours. When maintenance showed up, he checked out the heater again. He came back to say they needed a new one — which I already knew. When I asked about the space heaters, he said they didn't have any. WHAT. He said the best he could do was bring blankets, which he did and those were very much appreciated. But I can tell you it got COLD in the cabin on the flooring I was staying.||- These were all my personal experiences. I know my coworkers also had issues with TVs not working, one of the hot tub's jets being broken, bathroom door locks being broken and them getting locked out of a bathroom because of this, showers having only lukewarm water, a bunkbed being broken, etc.||I understand things happen. However, Bear Creek Crossing is NOT accommodating nor customer service oriented in my personal opinion based on this experience. I DO NOT recommend staying at The Palace. If you do, bring space heaters and an umbrella. Be prepared to flee at any moment should the fire alarm go off randomly. And don't expect to get in when they tell you, nor have access to actual help for your actual problems. Yes, the employees were all nice and did what they could, but their hands seemed tied by the management company that is frightfully despondent and uncaring. BE BEAR CREEK...
Read moreWe called the day before for early check in. We were told that there was no early check in, even though we were sent documents that talked about early check in. Once we got about half way down there we tried checking in virtually, which did not work. We were talked to disrespectfully when we called to make sure everything was okay with the reservation since it was not working. We made it down there and checked in, and by our surprise were able to check in 2 hours early. Once we got to the cabin our pool level was low, no test kit to be found, and the hot tub water level was low. We had to fill up coolers to fill the hot tub because there was no hose around and could not get anyone to come out. The trash outside was filled and we could not dispose of our trash, the number on the trash can inside was disconnected. We called the office to get someone to come out, they were there within a couple of hours. We were not provided with enough towels, 12 people total. One of the beds were not made, had the blankets crumbled up on the floor. Another room has stained sheets and hair on the bed. The wi-fi barely worked, was so bad we couldn’t watch tv on 4/6 tvs and could not connect our devices. In the kitchen, the dishwasher was leaking and made a puddle on the floor, and they didn’t seem to care the slightest. Someone came the next day to look at it and only looked at the puddle and water damage and left. The A/C barely worked. The cabin needs a little work, even being a newly built cabin, and needs a little extra time with cleaning and it will be amazing. Management and office workers need attitude adjustments, need to be trained on customer service, and need to address issues in a more timely manner. Due to the customer service from the office we will not be renting with this...
Read moreReview for 1109 Antelope Way with Outdoor Outfitters. I will preface this review with saying that my family has rented MANY cabins in the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Wears Valley area, as well as owning condos in Gatlinburg at one time. This cabin was amazing! Will definitely try to rent this specific cabin again. You get 4 bedrooms (3 king suites with private baths and one bunk room that has a set of queen bunk beds and a set of twin bunks, also with private bath). The loft has several activities, including pool table and multi-cade FULL SIZE arcade game. The downstairs living area was immaculate and open. Each bathroom had a starter (travel size) shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The towels are super soft and you have plenty on hand. Hot tub was very clean, as the water is drained and refilled after each guest. Indoor pool would be perfect for your littles, we just didn't use it on our stay. You have free access to the outdoor community pool and small putt-putt course. Washer / Dryer with starter pack of detergent. Drive is steep, but all paved, so not a problem for any type of vehicle. Plenty of parking in front of the cabin. Great porch area ~ wrap around with plenty of rocking chairs and tables, plus LIFE SIZE Connect 4 game...
