Beautiful in every possible way. The bellmen will greet you as you roll up to check on to this beautiful resort. The grounds are impeccably maintained, well thought out and truly beautiful. Fountains, creeks, pools, hot tub, fire pits, rocking porches and restful nooks all nestled into the most Eden like and picturesque landscaping I've seen. The bellman will lift your luggage onto a cart, give you a ticket/number to give front desk and then will bring your bags to your room immediately upon check in. Our bags were in the room before we got upstairs! They even hung up our jackets on the handy wall hooks by the door and placed suitcases on racks. Nice touch! You can valet park your vehicle for an extra $25 per night if you so choose. The walk may be rather long if the resort is busy so if mobility is an issue, valet parking is a good idea. The entrance is lovely and welcoming. The front desk was very well staffed (as is entire resort) and the check in process was a breeze. We had a handicapped room as I am an amputee and need an accessible shower and room to move in my chair at night. There was a Long bed and 2 bunk beds. The shower was truly accessible and I had no issues. There are sturdy hand rails and a fold down bench . There are both overhead and adjustable hand held sprayers. There is a rubber, collapsible ( by chair wheels) zero entrance to stall. So should you need to roll in, you can. Rare today in hotels! Sink is a good height to roll under without banging you legs in anything and easy to reach sink and handles...also much nicer than most hotels! So many "accessible bathrooms" in hotels simply are NOT. A handrail, high toilet and a crusty old shower chair does not an "accessible" bathroom make! Great job on the bathrooms, Dolly!! This handicapped room, however, is a bit tight with the King bed. I think a queen would be better here. I had a rather difficult time moving between the side of bed and bunk bed in my chair when needing to use bathroom. The bunk bed sticks out far enough that the 90° turn from bedside to hallway (to the bath) with the TV console adjacent is nearly impossible without MUCH jockeying and care not to bang the wood door on console or get stuck against bed. Getting over to the window was also very tight between the end of bed and the desk and TV console. Just VERY tight for a handicapped room and my chair is a small power chair. A regular or large size wheelchair would really be a challenge. My only complaints at this resort! The decor is lovely and homey and there are lots of special touches. The room was SPOTLESS. Every part of it. Nooks and crannies and dark spaces do not go uncleaned here. The bed was thoughtfully made up each day and any used towels or toiletries were replaced. Bed linens are changed every 4 days only unless requested. The carpet was vacuumed and everything was neatened up. Very nice!! There is a small dorm-sized fridge, coffee maker with supplies and a room safe. A writing desk and phone chargers in the alarm clock on the night table. We were on 3rd floor with floor over us. This hotel was EXTREMELY quiet/soundproofed and we were not disturbed at all during our stay. No slamming doors or clog dancing on the ceiling to bother us. Divine! All areas of this resort are spotlessly clean and inviting. There is a restaurant, bar area with tables and great, "quicker" food, a "pantry" for quick grab snacks or Starbucks fare. Many more amenities you can read about on the Dream more website. We did not swim in the gorgeous outdoor pool but it looked so inviting. Many were enjoying it. There are fire pits at night with s'mores from 7-8pm. Also, bedtime stories for kids at 8 . Nice touches around every corner. This resort truly puts promises into actions! It surpassed my expectations and was everything they advertised and more. I stay in hotels often and honestly though hospitality had all but died in the US. Dolly has set the bar VERY high here and restored our faith that things CAN be done the proper way! Use the free trolley to Dollywood! Just go, it...
Read moreVery Disappointed . First of all my husband & I are Diamond pass members and when we called to make reservations the lady who was helping us did not even give us our discount. When my hubby called next day to make sure of check in hours, he asked the lady if we could get the Member discount since it was not given to us when reservations were made and this lady immediately applied the discount. When getting there one of the valet guys came and told my hubby we could not park in front of the hotel that we needed to go to the 15 minute parking but it was full and it took more than 15 minutes for that parking zone to have availability. The guy was uncourteous and instead of offering us just to stop for a few seconds to get the cart to put our luggage, he made us move. We had to park far and grab all our luggage’s and walk all that distance with all our luggage’s to get to the hotel. The same guy approached my hubby later when getting a couple of bottles of water to bring to our room and with a rude tone, he asked my hubby if he was staying at the hotel when he already talked to my hubby that day and rudely made us move instead of helping us to find a cart. We also made reservations in advance for dinner (New years’ eve) and we made it for 9:30 pm. When we got there around 9:20pm we were told they were going to text us and the host asked for a phone number to text. We waited more than 30 minutes and still we were not texted so I had to get up and go to ask why they still did not text us when our reservation was for 9:30pm and it was already 9:56pm. The host that took our info immediately remembered us and decided to text my hubby immediately and told us our number was not linked to our account and that was why they could not text but we already gave them the phone number so what a cheap excuse was that. They simply forgot us. They quickly charged us for the meal when we believe we should of get 50% off for the inconvenience. I am tired of places praising good services, charging outrageous prices and we get horrible service. The food, a buffet style, was very poorly cooked and not everything was available since they close at 10:00 pm. When I grabbed the dishes I could feel food residue on them. Then they let these Hispanic families (and I am Hispanic) to be so loud and their kids running everywhere in the restaurant. When coming back with my food to the table a couple of kids almost collide with me and no manager could go and put some order there. I was very disappointed. One bad experience on top of another in the same day we arrived. Next day my hubby went to get the time saver passes for Dollywood that come with the stay of the hotel, my hubby asked if the passes were valid for all the rides and the associate told him they were good for all the rides. When we got to the park to ride Big Bear Mountain roller coaster we were told the passes were not valid for the ride. Happened to be that the associate at the Dream More Hotel did not explain the passes were good only for 5x used and not valid for certain rides. Why they can not offer an unlimited time saver pass for all the rides like Universal does when we stayed at their resorts. The associates that give the time saver passes at Dream More Resort need to automatically explain what these passes are good for and be courteous. All the staff we had incidents with looked like they were bothered and did not wanted to be there. How it is possible that a 4 star hotel get to charge so much for a stay and they don’t even care about treating their customers with respect, courtesy and providing good service. Not the dreamy stay we...
Read moreWe stayed at DreamMore to start out our TN vacation 6/22-6/26. The grounds and hotel itself are very well kept and immaculate. Check in was quick and it was fairly painless parking our car up front while we unloaded our stuff to the room. They had pink lemonade in the lobby when we got there. All employees were very friendly. Our room was a double queen, 3rd floor and at the very end of the hall - while it was a long walk from the elevator, it was also probably the quietest room/hotel experience I've ever had. We never heard a peep from the hallway or other rooms. The room was pretty spacious and I liked having an open area near the door with hooks and plenty of space to store shoes/etc out of the way from the area with the beds. The bathroom was large too with plenty of hooks to hang things. Rooms had a coffee maker and small minifridge, but no microwave. However, every floor has a microwave near their ice machine - the ice machine was also a dual water/ice machine that came in very handy to refill our water bottles! We did not do the restaurant as it is family style only for dinner and does not have a kids menu - my son would not eat anything there. We wanted to try the breakfast buffet but honestly the pricing turned us off - we could go to a breakfast spot anywhere else and pay way less. We did eat at the DM Pantry market quite a bit - the pizza was quick and delicious the first night we arrived after a 10 hour car drive. The breakfast sandwiches there also were some of the best we had ever eaten! Some things were def overpriced there (although at this type of resort that's expected) - like paying $5.49 for a small bottle of milk when you can get it from the gas station across the road for less than $2. We also got icecream there one afternoon. Service was always pretty quick. The pool was very nice but it was smaller than I'd expect for a resort that size, and could use way more seating. When the place was full it was hard to find chairs by the pool. We swam every night and watched the fireworks from the pool that they have in the park (we could also see the drone show from our room). Indoor pool was ok - it was cold but we used it one afternoon because there was an incident in outdoor pool and it had to be cleaned (lol). There was also live entertainment in the resort at points throughout our stay which I found to be a nice touch. There are kids activities too which we did not partake in because my son is a little older. They also had a small arcade which he liked.
The number one perk of staying here is definitely the park access and perks that come with it. The basic timesaver passes you get as resort guests allow you to ride ALL rides in the first hour in the timesaver lines, which was great. The free trolleys to and from the parks were fast, air conditioned, and the drivers were always super friendly and knowledgable. We never had to wait more than ten minutes for a trolley (and that was only once), and never had to worry about navigating that huge parking lot because of this perk! They make sure you are a resort guest before riding (you're given a card) to thwart people trying to take the trolley that aren't resort guests. I will say the morning is a bit crazy at the resort when you wait in line to get your timesaver passes (and/or tickets) then wait in another line to catch the trolley - I feel like they should open the timesaver/ticket area at 8 to help minimize the lines/crowds in the lobby.
Overall we were happy we stayed and it was a great way to experience our first trip to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood! We may book Heartsong the next...
