Checked in Friday afternoon - luggage cart has 2 flat tires. Bad start as we had a ton of luggage for a wedding we were attending. Finally get to room... no internet. Call front desk - they said they were 'working to fix it'. Shower doesn't drain - GROSS. Saturday morning - STILL no internet. This is costing me money now. Call front desk - they said they are 'working to fix it'. Shower still clogged. Saturday afternoon they clear the drain in the shower. Saturday night we returned from the wedding - STILL no internet. Call front desk and different employee has no idea (sure) that the internet isn't working. She says she will 'work on fixing it'. Costing me more money. Next door neighbors partied until 2am. Sunday morning - STILL no internet - call front desk - they say they are 'working to fix it'. Then my family went down to get some breakfast... The breakfast bar was like a horror movie set. ('Breakfast at Flyny's', 'Nightmare on Platt Road', 'The Fly Who Loved Me'). The flies outnumbered the diners by about 70 to 1. The entire breakfast bar/nook was buzzing and moving. Flies on EVERYTHING. (Everything, except for the waffle maker because the didn't have any waffle batter so it was clean and cold - no flies there). I opened the heated metal box to see if there was bacon - flies came out - no bacon. Flies INSIDE the closed bagel/muffin box. Flies on every surface. There was a big spoon in a silver can that was for people to scoop out their eggs (photos included). I took this photo after most of the flies relocated upon my approach. The only way to get food out of the breakfast bar, without fly eggs on it, would be to take a box of cereal to your room before you opened it. I assume all of the other food was covered in a thick layer of fly eggs and excrement. I can only imagine what was going on in the kitchen... Went to front desk to ask for a partial refund for the 100% lack of internet (advertised) during our 2-day stay and the fact that the food was going to make us puke. Manager said she would 'work on it' but, since we had paid cash, she would need to talk to her boss. She offered us a discount on our next visit. Haha... as if. She said she would call us Sunday afternoon with a verdict on the partial refund. No call back. I called Monday morning and she told me she couldn't refund us anything. I hung up, furious. My wife called and the manager said she would, again, try to work a partial refund for us and that she would call back in an hour. No call back. At this point it is pretty clear that the hotel has plenty of flies, no internet and a staff that is quite accustomed to giving its patrons the run-around on a daily basis. If I were you, unless you are filming a horror movie, I would avoid this hotel at any cost. P.S. We have always had a good experience at multiple La Quinta's around the country. This one, however, is more like staying in a port-o-let that is staffed by double-talking...
Read moreI would have to say I have no complaints , other than the pool being not being very warm but the room is frem when u get out of the water and the grassy area that you’re supposed to be able to walk your dogs in throughout The whole property is completely covered with dog feces that nobody has picked up and neither did the hotel in the few days that I was there I stepped in dog feces three times. I did make a note about it to someone at the front desk beside me. Nothing was done about it.! If you’re trying to have A good time keep in mind this is not the hotel for you I’m not you’re living there like you’re living in an apartment and being quite you get a complaint And get kicked out even with all the money that you’re paying for a room I was removed due to a noise complaint with a women Police officer that showed up … will be reporting with her name and badge number The power trip that she was on was so ridiculous. I’m trying to get all of my belongings mind you I’ve been there for two weeks so I had a quite a bit of things due to that was basically the place I was living at the time and was being rushed out Then was told because she tried to grab my three dogs and walked them out the room, and I asked her to let go of my dog leashes that I didn’t need her help that was perfectly capable of taking care of my animals and I pulled them back in the room and was told that I was abusing my dogs Because I didn’t want her to touch my dog leashes. Also, I have never been kicked out of a hotel.a But the way they handled things was so Ridiculous on the behalf of whoever was working that night and on the behalf of the officer that was on her power trip because the male officer didn’t even say anything to me was letting me do what I needed to do respectfully but not her! I felt like I was treated very poorly, and I understand some people might need that aggression because of whatever they’re doing, but the situation last night there was no reason for her to act the way she did Over a noise complaint! Also the police were there three days prior, they tackled a man in the hallway, which I have a video of….she wasn’t happy about it my response to her power trip and got louder and more aggressive! Also be careful because if you’re a single woman there by yourself, the area isn’t bad, but I was minding my business and was approached and someone knocked on my car window And was Ask some inappropriate questions honestly, I highly recommend finding a different hotel. Unless you have a dogs they’re La Quinta in in Stonington. It’s so much better but their pool being cold. Read moreTruly the worst experience we have ever have. We are nice easy going people so we really feel we were treated absolutely horrible. We originally only booked for one night (the day of the wedding) but my fiancé went up the night before and decided not to take the drive back (2 hours away) the front desk told him he could stay an extra night and he tells me they Also told him he would be staying in the same room both nights. The night of the wedding He went to go brush his teeth and noticed his tooth brush was gone then looked around the room, bathroom and closet and fridge and realized ALL of his stuff was gone including his car keys!!! It is mid nite now I call front desk the girl who answered was very nice and tried what she could to find where our stuff was and what was going on as she just got into her shift an hour prior. However after an hour with no phone call back my fiancée went downstairs and this is where it gets bad. He starts getting very upset and angry no one was telling him where his stuff was they told him they didn’t know anything. The manager gets called and comes in and somehow my fiancée gets told they will call the cops on him if he continues to be loud and swear . He then threaten to call the cops on them if they didn’t find his stuff. One of the workers says “no no don’t call the cops I don’t have car insurance” The cleaner then literally walks away and comes back with a bag and says she just found this out by the dumpster. (Half of his stuff was still missing) but the most important stuff they brought back. No one could say how or why this happened. After all of this nightmare the manager tells him she is going to give him the two nights free of charge and she’s sorry. Next morning we check out and the manager extremely rude to me tells me we are “absolutely paying for our room” to me, then said oh sorry ya your right I told him I would comp the room your all set. I told her to give me a receipt showing this. Anyway after ALL of this we were charged for the room! I called the hotel 2 times and no one answered. Called corporate and put in a claim.
