I was staying at LaQuinta Suites while my traveling companion was in town for a wedding, so I decided to try this place with takeout, as I love GOOD Chinese food. This was so far in the other direction, I'd like to give it a negative star review. The Pan-Fried Dumplings (which I did eat) were burned. The Teriyaki Beef was undercooked and had a weird, sickly sweet marinade. The Cashew Chicken (which I ordered with Pork Lo Mein as a side) was absolutely inedible. Both meats tasted exactly the same, and not like chicken OR pork. And they were tiny pieces, full of gristle. The vegetables were mostly chunks of celery and I believe slivers of zucchini... no water chestnuts, no peapods. They were overcooked. And the sauce was just plain odd.
I would never order from this restaurant again. I threw the entire meal away, with the exception of...
Read moreThis used to be our go to Chinese restaurant. Its local and easy parking but their overall quality has taken a nose dive. They treat condiments like they are made of gold and almost never include them (even if you specifically ask when you place your order). Example- Ordered Chow Mein- no soy sauce, no duck sauce and no dry noodles. They ARE fast. Always ready in 10 minutes, but thats probably because they throw it together and toss it in a bag. Its take out only, which is fine, but going there is a mass blah experience. Never a hello, never a smile, no pleasantries at all. The experience is similiar to getting your car emissions test- in out, pass/fail....next please. There are much better choices in the area. If fast Chinese food, with zero personality, is your thing, save a few bucks and pop into Big Y and buy a La Choy...
Read moreIn my opinion the best Chinese restaurant in Plainfield to be sure. The vegetables used in their dishes are fresh and have a nice firmness to them. Not raw mind you but not overcooked and limp. The dishes aren't salty, swimming in grease and have delicate, cloying sauces. Not the heavy, thick corn starch base that you find in some many other places. I've been coming here since this place opened eons ago. At that time it was under different management and in a short time the quality of the food declined. The present owners have been here for at least 4 years or so and I can't think of one time where I had what I consider a bad meal. I'm not sure why there are others here who say they had an unfortunately experience because I never did. Five stars and the service is...
