This is our second time staying in these rooms during the start of ski season. The first room we had on the second floor was updated and nice. This season we are on the 3rd floor and the room is very outdated. This room only offers a mini fridge. Which was a bit of challenge to put our groceries away. The room smelled like arm and hammer pet deodorizer. So that wasn’t the most pleasant aroma. Luckily we brought a candle. The room lacks in door hooks for coats and towels. The overall storage availability for this room was not good. We didn’t really have a place to put food away. They should add shelving or a hutch or something. The bathrooms needs more door and towel hooks. If you have 7 people in your party like we did. You need more hooks. Can’t say a room sleeps up to 8 and not provide space for hanging towels, jackets etc. The beds were very firm, bouncy and uncomfortable. The heated pool is nice and is fun for the kids for a little while. The family night options need to at least change somewhat. They did the exact same movie and activities as last season. So we found our kids became board quickly. Especially since the slopes close at 430pm. It would also be nice to see a game room in this building that is free or included in the package price. Maybe some pool tables, dart boards, pinball, air hockey,...

You really cannot beat the price!!! For the same price, you can have the option of to queen beds, a table & wet bar (btw, the beds a ridiculously comfortable & the down comforters & pillows are a major plus) however, although there is a large bathroom, it is shower only. Second option same price, has a Murphy queen bed, pull out couch, table with 4 chairs, full kitchen, a smaller bathroom but has a tub with jets & a fire place. For $40 more u can connect both rooms! I prefer to see the mountain. 1st room on the 3rd floor is ideal & has a balcony. I stay in 601 & 602 which was the 1st floor & I enjoyed that as well but you def see more if your up on the 3rd floor in the same room. I couldn't tell u which room I liked more. Maybe the 2 queens. It had a bit more space & again, the beds!!!! Lol They also offer a shuttle to take you anywhere. Main lodge, restaurants, one side of the mountain to the other. Great heated outdoor pool with large hot tub for Heather's guest only. I haven't tested it out but I've only heard great things! The spa is also located there, as well as movie nights for the younger ones. I wish they didn't shut down between the snowboarding & golf season, because I would have...

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago with a group of friends. I am only writing this poor review because on Saturday May 22nd we chose to eat breakfast in the main dining room before golfing for the day. The dining room was packed (which was expected) and the staff was obviously busy. We watched throughout our meal as a woman who appeared to be some sort of manager berated our waitress. She talked down to her for close to 20 minutes while “teaching” her how to do something on their computer system (we had retrieved and finished our entire meal from the buffet before she had a chance to return) . The manager eventually walked away and we watched as a table asked her for a box. She dismissed them, saying their waitress would take care of it (even though their staff seemed completely in the weeds as is). I could care less about the poor service but I was truly appalled at the way the manager treated her staff and guests of the hotel. She was extremely rude and condescending to our waitress, who seemed quite frazzled. I just feel bad that this woman is in the position of...

If you want to relive the past when great Aunt Helen remodeled her house in 1989 this is the place for you. Dated brass fixtures, curtains and furniture. Watch out for the metal bed corner that sticks way out from the bed. Guess how many times people stubbed their toes. Forget about calling for food to be delivered to your room. They never answer the extension. Even if they did I doubt they would be able to hear through the crackling phone that needs to be replaced with a short in the cord.

Boyne knows how to do it right. Posted a view from my room. Pros: easy access to the ski hill. Nice indoor/outdoor pool. Rooms are nice and we got one with a kitchen so we don't need to eat out. Stayed during the week so it was overly busy (except during High School tournaments). Cons: Cost is a bit higher than I think it should be but really not too bad considering we are on the resort. Overall I highly recommend Boyne Highlands for a good Michigan ski resort.

This wasn’t my first choice of accommodations but it turned out to be pretty nice. The room is decently sized and has a kitchenette. The Murphy bed was weird but we enjoyed the balcony looking up the hill. There were things to do! We especially loved the mountain bike riding off the chair lift. We have done a fair amount of trail riding elsewhere and have to say the trails here were not easy - so be forewarned.
