Slopeside Lounge — Restaurant in Pleasantview Township

We were the only table in the room. 4 tables came in after us and they all got waited on immediately. We were never even greated (12 minutes) before i got up. I had to go get the manager who just said "OH" then the hostess said they would get someone over. The person who waited on us took 2 more minutes to come to the table. The waiter apologized for "missing" us but the manager never did. He then said "we are not busy so this shouldn't take long". The manager spent the whole time talking to the staff. The place is filthy with food all over the chairs and floors (again, "their not busy"). What saved this from being a one star review was the food. I had the salmon berry salad and it was very good. This establishment is not managed at the standards of the rest of the resort. The manager needs some serious training! Come to find out one of the tables next to us that was waited on immediately...

We visited Slopeside back in the winter and it was understandably busy; it is now August and we are back again. With the lounge only 25% full, the lack in customer service is absolutely appalling. We thought the last experience was a slip up and miscommunication, however; we can now see that there is no organization or communication amongst the hostess and servers. Each time we have been here, we have been seated and forgotten about. We have waited at least 10 minutes each time to have our drink order taken. If my husband would not have went up to a server, we would have never been served. They walk past your table like they don't even see you. When they finally get someone over to your table, they have an excuse as to why they hadn't been over yet. They prioritize their large tables, a table of 2 is chopped liver to them. It's safe to say this is our last visit...

The menu needs help, or who ever created it does. The nachos were made with rippled potato chips not tortilla chips. They don't have veggies on them at all, the chips where stale. The chips served with the fish and chips were also stale, and were 3 different types of chips, the half order of whitefish and chips was one larger piece of beer battered whitefish. I don't usually complain but the service and food need help, especially for the prices they charge. Chili was good but a bowl is more like a cup. Just to be clear they were not even at half capacity and still services were terrible. We will be skiing at the highlands all winter and I know for a fact WE will not be eating here again unless drastic...
