We stay with this family owned and operated business once a year typically. They are always so kind and accommodating to our needs. They have welcomed our pets as part of our family, as we have had a different pet on separate occasions. They do request we behave responsibly and are careful to not to cause harm or damage, in fairness to the subsequent guest. Unfortunately, sometimes people do not uphold this standard and leave these people working harder than ever to correct carelessness. As we stay a few days to a week or more, we hear how diligently they work on each room they clean. This year health related issues have found us at many local motels; some were a bit of a mess to be part of major perks plans. I would also say some are far to pricey for what they offer. However, here, at the PoncedeLeon Motel you will appreciate the fairness of the stay in every respect, especially when cleanliness matters. We were pleasantly surprised to check in to find everything freshly updated this stay, from new carpets to fresh paint, bathroom updates, a larger TV than expected with a guide menu plus rental movies, new mini fridges and microwaves and lots of evidence revealing the most important facts: This motel cares about their guests and runs their business with pride. I was so thankful to have found this motel when I was driving back from a concert in Tampa a little over four months ago. After checking room vacancies for hours, I finally found them with a Google search on my phone and called to reserve the room - which the lady said wouldn't be necessary. I arrived about an hour and a half later at about five in the morning (I had been driving for six straight hours, fifteen hours in total that day, and was running on about two hours of sleep in the past two days) and only paid $55 for the room plus a $10 cash deposit. The lady was genuinely friendly and accommodating, and knew that I had been tired from driving and wanted a good night's rest. She offered late checkout to me at no extra charge, on the condition that I let her know in advance how late I would be staying. I stayed on the second floor and went down to grab something out of my car before I was in for the night, but accidentally locked myself out of the room. The lady helped me get back into my room with no trouble at all. The bed was nice, clean, and comfortable, as well as the living space and restroom. I remember getting in the bed and falling asleep immediately. When I left, I needed gas and there was a Shell station just next door, which was very convenient for me as I had practically made it there on fumes. Came here to work on eglin AFB all hotel/motel running 1100+ for week and far from 5 star rooms bare amenities. We traveled down 45 mins away to next exit and found this gem ponce de leon motel in ponce de leon florid that we pay 500 plus 20 deposit and 10 for extra person there was 3 of us (key returned deposit refunded). We were expecting it to be like Cook motel in panama city at that price and pleasantly surprised at how nice they rooms and hotel itself was. The room comes with a full size fridge we got a king and queen bed coffe pot with coffee wifi loads of channels ice machine and a laundry facility seperare infront of motel (1.50 wash 1.50 dry CHEAP)the rooms specifically the linen is very clean and smells amazing (this hotel is non smoking rooms only but have designated areas for you to smoke on patio with chair and ashben) they also have a pavilion with a propane grill so you can BBQ when your tired of fast food and convenient stores food! The tubs are large and the hot water last long enough for all 3 of us to shower! There is camp grounds near by loads of wilderness and hiking adventures its away from the hustle and bustle of panama fort walton but only 45 min from each ! I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through for the night or vacationer that's looking for quality room that doesn't empty your pockets. Will be making this one of our permanent home...
