Except for the heavy downpour, at the time I needed to stop; the facilities are clean, well stocked, arranged, and plenty of both men's, and women's restroom s. The stop is well situated with an uper an lower section, with ample tables in the picnic area. Any open rest area is better than no rest area and my only push back with this one is that you do need to completely exit the Interstate to access this one. It is connected to a Florida Department of Transportation depot which I suppose saves the state a bunch of effort and money.

The rest area is a loop and yes, because it is accessed off the highway, you're not going to have anyone zipping through it. And as a loop, surrounded by high trees, it's possible that you can find a shady spot for a quick snooze. Which I did. Driving...

This place is NOT handicap friendly! I stopped here with my service dog and needed a larger handicap bathroom for medical purposes. All of them are on the small side and I had trouble using them. I actually hurt myself because the stall was too small to accommodate my disabilities. They seriously need to do something about this ASAP.
