Interstate 10 Rest Area 30050 East/West — Local services in Ponce de Leon

A little bit off of the main road, this rest area has water and soda machines, a water fountain, decently clean bathrooms which also includes a fully separate family bathroom. There is a large wooded area to relax or walk around in. There are 3 gas stations at the turn off to get to the rest area. Nice clean and comfortable rest stop. I stopped here for the night on my way East. Facilities were clean. Area felt secure. There were several trucks and several over night cars in the parking lot. This is a beautiful place but its scary. Most rest stops or right off the highway for convenience and safety reasons. This one takes both of those away. You have to get off the highway and go down a dark road into the woods to get to it. Now the structure has lighting but the roads in and out we didn't see any lights. Its just not very safe to me especially for someone who may be driving alone or...
