This is for the Clearwater Resort and not the Tower that is connected to the casino.
This the oasis that no one knows is in your backyard. An hour taking the ferry from Seattle or a little more than an hour and half if you drive around through the anarrows bridge.
Plenty of parking at this very intimate location. The footprint is small, but big enough for weddings. There were 2 going on the weekend we visited.
The amenities are equal to if not better than the high end hotels in that the rooms are clean. They have a VERY small gym, (but enough free weights and ellipticals to get the job done). They have indoor pool and outdoor hottub (that had broken jets whe I visited). But most of all they had peace. You feel away, and at a beach house when you are here.
The staff is friendly and approachable. For example tthey give you water when you ask, (cold or room temp, which is great attention to detail).
What won me over in the room were the basic stuff. Wifi that is easy to connect, and FAST. A smart TV with walk-through steps on Google, casting the shows off your phone. Plenty of wall outlets that work with easy to acces light switches. A fridge that you can store basic items. A safe, for personal belongings. A microwave for popcorn, or heating up drinks. Coffee maker that was clean and simply worked. The bonus was the AMAZING bed. I prefer very firm beds and my wife very soft beds and this bed was oddly very accommodating with both of us feeling rested without aches and in need of a nap after a night of sleep. The shower was spacious, heated up quickly, and had great water pressure. They also had a switch for a bathroom fan! (*BTW, when and why did high-end hotels decide to get rid of those???) I usually bring my own soaps but the ones they provided was fabulous and not overly offensive. They don't feel like you just walked out of an Aber & Fitch.
They had coffee at the lobby and check-out was the usual 11a with a place at the front desk to simply drop-off your room cards.
This definitely was an experience and well worth a chance. Plenty of people spoke openly about coming back.
Midas 5-stars for careful attention...
Read moreWe really had a great time at Clearwater resort. We stayed at the resort side of the property (not the Tower) and our room had a beautiful view of The Agate Passage part of the Sound and the big back area of grass and trees behind the resort. The room had a very nice little lanai with chairs facing the water. The service here is just excellent!! Everyone is so friendly, and very happy to give you free bottled water, microwave popcorn, and hot cocoa to make in your room.
I’ve done reviews of a few of the restaurants within the resort. And I will include photos from those various restaurants along with a few other shots from our trip in this review.
There’s an indoor pool, outdoor hot tub and a separate spa onsite. The casino was very amateur friendly. They were very patient with my blunders at the roulette table and helped this beginner with lots of pointers. And I broke even after two partial days of fun on the table!

Our room had a comfy side chair a desk work area. It also had a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The rooms are well maintained and not tired at all. The views of the water alone are worth the stay. We saw an AC/DC cover band that was great. Outdoor with food and drink...
