The park is located in a convenient location, just outside of Portland. It is relatively affordable, with rates starting at $40 per night. The park has full hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well-maintained. There is a laundry facility on-site. The park is pet-friendly. Cons: The park is mostly full of long-term residents, so it can be noisy and crowded during the summer months. The sites are small and close together, so there is not a lot of privacy. The sewer connections are outdated and can be difficult to use. The park is not very well-maintained, and the grounds can be a bit messy. Overall, the Columbia River RV Park is a budget-friendly option for RVers looking to stay near Portland. However, it is important to be aware of the downsides before booking a stay. If you are a short-term visitor, be prepared to get some side eye from the full-time residents. They may not be happy that you are paying more than they do to stay in the park. Make sure to bring extra sewer cables, as the connections are outdated and can be difficult to use. If you are looking for a quiet and secluded place to stay, this is not the park for you. It is best suited for RVers who are looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay while exploring Portland. I hope this helps!

A very nice, clean, well maintained park. We stayed for 2 weeksand enjoyed the many sites all around the area. Sites are narrow and close together, no tables (or room for them). The big drawback that doesn't allow for 5 stars though is the sewage vent pipes at each site. Yes, sewage vents. Each site has a tall vent pipe that releases the gases from the sewer. So if you think your going to sit outside and enjoy the breeze, think again. The breeze comes with a strong raw sewage odor throughout the park. Not very pleasant. So, we enjoyed most of our time away from the park and kept the windows closed.

The Columbia River RV park is large with 198 spots, of which most are long term renters. The RV park sits at the West end of Portland International Airport with a lot of early morning takeoffs. The on-line reservation system was easy to use and we booked over a month in advance. The staff was very friendly at check in. The restrooms and showers were clean. The lawns had not been cared for in weeks. The stay was ok, but we would have stayed somewhere else had we known about the airport traffic over head

Clean nice place! Other guests that I met were very friendly! Seems about 90% long term. We stayed for about 6 weeks. My Zuma doggie loved loved loved the fenced in dog area! (They have two, one smaller grass-ish one in the very back of the park, and one located actually across 13th Ave, that's the one we always went to!) THANK YOU DARRELL for maintaining the dog area so wonderfully!!! I don't think he is an employee, but he keeps that area nice looking!

WiFi with limited bandwidth wasn't available at all in our spot or others nearby (#151)

Yep.... Planes fly over. A lot. 24/7. Only the military jets are so loud they may be intrusive.... But just give them a salute and thank God they're protecting us! It seemed I only heard them once or twice a week, and for just a couple of minutes.

Staff that I met was adequate. Mostly not friendly, I very much felt a strange attitude from them.... Almost like a superiority issue.... Which I didn't fall for at all! I got a notice taped to my door, telling me that I had driven onto the grass at my site. Yep, I did... Pretty much had to because of angle of space, I caught about 4" of the corner. Wouldn't have been an issue except that it was exceedingly wet... Almost swampy! Anyhow... The notice I received told me they would be charging me $50 to repair the damage! Yikes!!!! I bought some grass seed, and showed them I'd planted it, and the fine was never again mentioned. Laundry/showers were clean. Washers in three sizes. My son said men's showers were good, hot and good pressure. I found the opposite in ladies. Plus, the curtains didn't close completely!

Don't be fooled by pics! This RV park IS located a block from the Columbia River, but there are no views of it from within the park, and nowhere nearby with public access. It's mostly all private, yacht clubs etc. Traffic is horrid. Search google maps for alternative routes if you're going exploring...

We recently spent 4 months in this RV Park and found it centrally located for our needs in the Portland area. The staff was friendly and courteous. The park is clean & fairly well thought out, the larger RVs can be a tight fit in some spaces in the back section where we were. Being basically at the outer barrier of the Portland Airport sort of removes quiet from the environment as does some truck traffic on Marine Drive that the park backs up to. We liked the park, but… Portland has a reputation for bicycle theft and it is alive and well in this park. During our stay we had 4 new bicycles stolen from our RV space over the time of our stay and know of others from neighboring spaces. The park has what appears to be a fairly comprehensive video security, coupled with absolutely no gate security as to who enters the park. The management at the park was notified of the thefts and inquiries were made as to anything that the cameras may have captured. More than once we shared our observations of teen males accessing the park grounds we by scaling a wide concrete wall at the back of the park that adjoins a parking lot of a Minit Mart. The office staff offered their regrets and would let us know if they saw anything on the tapes, both times. Both times, the very next day we witnessed the security cameras being worked on, nothing being done to improve the wall security and got no response as to the tape review results (good, bad or indifferent).

Police reports were filed by internet as is their protocol for cold thefts, but it leaves one feeling rather helpless. We won’t be staying here again –...

I called to book a reservation and was treated very rudely by the man who answered. He said there was a space available for one night and requested information. I was willing to book just the one night and figure out my next stop the following day. When he asked for my name, I asked what name he needed and explained that I go by a name that is different than my legal name. To clarify I asked if it was for billing purposes or just how to address me. He didn’t give a clear answer and seemed annoyed. I gave him both. When he asked for an address I asked if the address was for billing information and explained the address on my credit card isn’t the same as my current mailing address. The guy rudely stated that they needed my name and address because they had issues with contacting people before, that no one called me the name that I actually go by and that if they needed to call the police on me that the police wouldn’t know that name then he hung up. This was after I had provided both my legal name and preferred name and tried to clarify what address they needed. This was very unprofessional, rude, and demonstrated intolerance for people who have nicknames or have more than one address, and was very presumptive on this guy’s part. I was treated poorly and I don’t support this place, and I do not appreciate the unjust and rude way I was treated nor that someone who is supposed to be customer oriented basically made the assumption that he would need to call the police on me because I go by a different name than the one I was given. So many people actually do this! Seriously?...
