An adorable, cute bed and breakfast in Logan. We stayed here for 2 nights in August, in one of the king suites. Overall, or was a wonderful experience. (updated comments on the bottom) Our room had a feel of being recently remodeled, and also a little unfinished. Must of our negative experience with the room deals with that.
Pros: super nice staff, huge jetted tub, 2 spout shower, large 2 sink bathroom, sleep number bed (!! Loved that feature! !!), breakfast delivered to your room (included in cost), blu ray player, movies to borrow in the lobby, a sound system throughout the suite, our room had a kitchenette, dining table, large living room, covered porch, 2 closets, and the main building was gorgeous with beautiful grounds.
Cons (specific to oyr visit ): the sound system was not hooked up, there was always a smell of VOCS in the room, like construction materials off gassing, the entertainment center had been miswired, and a room attatched to the bedroom was unfinished (no carpet or furniture). I assume all these things have to do with the remodeling and aren't permanent issues.
Cons (for the room itself): there is no stove or trash can in the kitchenette (which is a minor thing, it's just funny that they have pans in the cupboard but no way to use them), the jetted thb is huge but shallow (doesn't pass the knees/chest test, in fact it was too shallow to cover my chest period), it is also extremely noisy.
Overall though, we absolutely loved our stay and would recommend the Old Rock Church for anyone looking for a nice bed and breakfast.
UPDATED
We stayed here again in 2024 for 4 nights in the same room. Pros: They have added a stove and garbage can to the kitchen, and the unfinished room is now finished, enclosed, and has a twin bed. It also no longer smells of VOCs Cons: Breakfast delivered to your room is no longer included or offered. A continental breakfast is offered in the building, but be warned it is not Gluten Free friendly at all, if that is a concern for you.
Otherwise, it remains the same as it was, cute, friendly, and without the sound system hooked up, lol. I still...
Read moreThe Old Rock Church was exactly what I expected. Very quaint, comfortable and full of charm and history. The grounds were beautiful and it seems to be a busy, well-run place. Our room was nice and classy. Bed was very comfortable. Oversize bath and showers were great. Breakfast felt homemade and arrived conveniently at our room exactly when they said it would. Our stay was a pleasant, enjoyable experience. I feel the need to respond to some of the poor reviews. News flash: this is an old, rock church. As in really old. The floors creak, walls are thin and yes, it smells like an old, rock church. If that's a surprise to anybody coming to stay here and it turned you off then you failed to do your homework and missed the best part of this experience. This is a cool part of local history and it's amazing that they've been able to keep it running as a bed and breakfast/events venue. Take the time to check out the pictures and articles on the walls and you'll appreciate the cool connection to Utah's pioneer history. Just understand what you're coming to stay in and you won't be disappointed. We loved our stay and would stay again. The only suggestions I'd have for the owners to earn a 5th star is some new carpet as it's wearing a little thin, better signage as to where to enter/check in, etc and provide some white noise machines in the rooms as the walls are thin and there can be a lot of ambient noise throughout the building. Other than that, we had no complains. Thanks for a...
Read moreI have to say, staying here was a fluke. Something was happening in the area, however we booked at another hotel a month ago through a 3rd party. We were are I town for a wedding and I was I tears when he found out my "confirmation" had not been finished by the third party. After 3.5 hours on the phone with me and keeping me in while hunting and open room, we were basically at a loss. About that time they said OlD ROCK had an opening. We were suppose to stay one night there then transfer to the original hotel for the second night (tonight).....after checking in and bring her for a couple hours, we fell in love. I transferred tonight res. To The Old Rock (the had the same room open for another night. After all of the Hassel, we walked in to a very family friendly atmosphere...they made us feel right at home. Always a smile and right in their toes for even the smallest thing! We are staying in the redwood suite. We will most definitely stay here again! I have absolutely nothing bad to say. Oh! The was breakfast was incredible and made to order. They brought it right to our room at the time requested. Even 15 minutes earlier than the usually start breakfast because we need to be at the wedding early. ❤ The rooms are so comfortable and clean! I could go on and on!!! We simply love it all! We realized how people that truly love their jobs do n't even compare to the ones who put you through as a number. Love this place! Thank you Old Rock Church Bed and...
