Our hotel room was very dirty. There were stains on curtains, towels, and bed linens. Hair was gunked up in the sink and shower drains. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The bathtub was discolored and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The floor is consistently not vacuumed or mopped between guests, due to crumbs, dust, and hardened dirt on the flooring. There was additionally a random pill on the floor, which seems like a pretty easy thing to clean up.
The walls are paper thin - we could hear the person next door opening and closing their bathroom door, if that gives a clue. There also appeared to be some evening gathering at the front of the hotel, which continued loudly until after 1am (we were here on a Thursday night, so this seemed odd to us because it wasn't even on a weekend); we ended up turning the TV on to try to drown out some of the voices, but we really struggled to get to sleep.
Just after 1AM, two different men attempted gaining access to our room, and even called out to us to open the door. We obviously did not open the door, but that's a scary thing to be jolted awake twice by men trying to open the door and banging on the door calling out to us.
At around 2AM, the loud revving of engines in the parking lot started. They continued for about 20 mins. We got very little sleep at this hotel.
At 4AM the person next door's alarm went off. The alarm continued for a full hour and since the walls are so paper thin, we could hear the alarm the whole time, as of it was our alarm. My husband and I both woke up when their alarm went off, thinking one of us set an alarm and didn't turn it off, so we were initially confused. Only after realizing it was for the person staying next door did we try to get back to sleep - that didn't happen. We got maybe an hour of sleep the entire night between all of the loud disruptions.
The TV was difficult to use because the remote receiver was taped to the bottom corner of the TV and maybe wasn't at a good angle or didn't have a strong signal connection with the remote or something. We even walked right up to the TV with the remote and the remote still had a hard time connecting/changing the volume and channel.
We paid $110 for a room and were amazed that this room could be worth that much. The hotel room we had the night before in Cheyenne at a brand new hotel that was of a higher tier and was generally much cleaner/quieter/better was the same price.
There is no breakfast offered at this hotel. Whatever you've read online about there being breakfast here is not accurate. It seems the hotel used to offer breakfast but no longer does, and they haven't updated their information online.
To top it off, as many others who have listed reviews for this hotel have mentioned, we were also double charged for our room. When we walked up to the front desk to ask them to remove the second charge, they said they couldn't take care of it right now. Since others have mentioned that disputing the charge was the easiest route to take to ensure we didn't have to pay twice, that's what we did, too. As an update to this paragraph - we were later charged THREE times for a one night stay. We ended up calling the hotel to ask about it, since the third charge came later. The woman at the desk said this has never happened before and removed the last charge.
The staff at the front desk was pleasant and we appreciated that, but it doesn't erase all of the other items I mentioned above.
I would not recommend this hotel and do not think you get value for your $ by staying here. I also don't think they're operating honestly if they're charging everyone for extra days...
Read moreForced to stay here for work, first room I was checked into when checking the room for signs of bedbugs I noticed both beds appeared to have urine stains on the sheets, looked like someone pissed the bed woke up and moved to the other bed did it again and then left and room service didn't change the sheets. Front desk looked annoyed when I asked for a different room but did change me rooms.
Second room didn't appear to to have any bed bug signs, but one of the mattresses did look like someone was murdered on it there was so much reddish brown stains on the top of it. The other mattress looked safe. Fridge in the room was so frozen over it was unusable, TV turned on and off but couldn't adjust volume or change the channel, and had a vertical green strip just left of the center. AC blew cold air for maybe 30 mins then just fan, but at least it wasn't stuffy. Shower wasn't great, but it was honestly the best part of the room, had decent water pressure and no mold but also no vent for the room so got humid quickly.
Now for the truly weird... Left my room around 6am to load stuff in my car to leave for work, went back up to use the restroom, and while I was in the room housekeeping just walked in without so much as knocking on the door and was looking around the room without any cleaning supplies with them. When I left my bathroom they were midway into the room and we're startled when I asked what they were doing in the room and why they didn't knock. Left nothing in my room while I was at work, and every day it was like they thought I'd checked out even with my do not disturb sign up the beds were made, room reset to "check in condition", ac turned off, and my key to the room didn't work, but it seriously didn't look like they changed the towels or sheets just refolded them or remade the bed.
I can't 100% say it was the hotel, but Friday after spending an entire week there because my company wouldn't agree to change hotels I woke up with a very bad rash on my right arm that has gone away. It wasn't bed bugs even though that was my first thought, though could be mites or just a reaction to whatever they maybe clean the sheets/towels with (if anything other than water 🤷). I served in the military and can say I felt cleaner after a deployment than leaving this hotel.
Of my 3 coworkers, one had a tub that didn't drain, when he asked the front desk about it they handed him the bottle of drain cleaner and said here that'll fix it. The second had a fridge that didn't turn on at all, and the TV looked like it was a first generation flat panel and didn't work. The third had a decent enough room that he said no issues worth noting compared to what we had, so if you like to gamble on 25% odds stay here other wise check out the Best Western or Brickyard inn down the street for clean rooms that won't make you feel like you need to...
Read moreI hate to write less than stellar reviews. But I have to be honest. While traveling East, heading home from Rock Springs, we needed a place to stay. Usually, Quality Inn is a good experience. Last night though, I looked on Travelocity and found this particular Quality Inn for $105.00. I wanted to see what the onsite rate was. The gentleman that answered the telephone said that indeed, they did have vacancies. I asked for a price and was told $110.00. I thought that for a $5.00 difference, I would go ahead and make the reservation while I was on the phone. The gentleman asked me to hold. I waited on the phone until we pulled into the carport of the Inn. I chuckled and hung up my phone. When my husband came out with room keys in hand, he said that the man at the front desk charged him $115.00. I asked if he had told the desk clerk that he had put his wife on hold after quoting her a lesser price. My husband was told basically, "that's our price." The room was pretty clean. But nothing special. There were flies in the room, which I have not experienced in a hotel room in previous travels. There was not the usual amount of towels provided. We needed to go down to the front desk to ask for toilet paper, where the clerk once again was less than hospitable. In the morning, contrary to the website information, there was no breakfast provided. There was a sign on the dining room door reading, "No breakfast provided until further notice due to covid". I find that reasonable. But the website needed to have been updated. We have children with us, so we are willing to pay a little extra for a hotel that serves breakfast and saves us a stop. None of these small inconveniences by themselves would have caused me to be inclined to write a negative review. But combined, it determined my review. In the end, I would not recommend this hotel. I feel like our money would have been just as well spent at a Motel 6 if we were looking for a less expensive, no frills place to sleep. I will continue to stay at other Quality Inn hotels though. I have always had a good...
