"What a fantastic find! My family and I were looking for a quick stop off I-80 to get our toddler out of his car seat, and the Carbon County Museum was the perfect choice. Not only was it easy to get to, but the entry tickets were also very affordable. Inside, we were completely captivated. The museum does a phenomenal job of showcasing the history of the region. There are so many great historical stories and artifacts that truly bring the past to life. My son loved seeing the old tools and equipment, and I was fascinated by the well-preserved exhibits on everything from the railroad and mining to the area's Native American heritage. It was an incredible way to get a glimpse into the unique and rich history of Carbon County. The museum is a wonderful preservation of history and a great place...

An absolutely amazing experience! A bit off the beaten path, this place is absolutely chock full of history and weird stories about the area! Disnt expect them to be open during Covid, but extremely Covid safe and concious of the pandemic. Everyone there was super nice and showed off the exibits in a really fun and engaging way. Definitely stop in and see the old fire truck, the wax core phonograph, and their collection of amazing local history artifacts, including some amazing old...

Really interesting little museum, really like that the artefacts were all linked together through stories, some of the other museums we visited seemed to just be collections of random items, but this felt like a proper tour of the areas history! Really a highlight of our road trip through Wyoming, even better when you know it is donations only! If you're in the area it also worth visiting the Wyoming State Penitentiary Museum just...

Had a little time to spare in Rawlings Wyoming and stopped by the Museum. First , the staff was very nice and welcoming. The small museum was warm and had some really interesting artifacts from cowboys to Indians and lifestyles of frontier Rawlings. I had read about “Big Nose George and Cattle Kate” and the exhibits on those two were interesting …. Easy to find and in the hart of the Wild Bunch Country everyone should stop bye.

Top local museum, showing period artefacts, firearms, furniture, vehicles, clothing, the skull of a murderer and another of a 10,000 year old mammoth. Well worth at least an hour browsing. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Hidden gem, highly recommended
